NMIMS on the march for `Make in India`; enters academic collaboration with Tel Aviv University of Israel university

NMIMS and Tel Aviv University (TAU) Israel have entered into an MOU for academic collaboration in presence of Mr. Devendra Phadanavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra
Academic collaboration will be at different levels like joint UG and Graduate, programs, student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research.

NMIMS Deemed to be University, Mumbai and Tel Aviv University (TAU) Israel have entered in to an MOU for academic collaboration at Tel Aviv, Israel in presence of Mr. Devendra Phadanavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Mr. Girish Mahajan, Irrigation Minister, who were on their three-day visit to Israel to explore possibilities of collaboration in various fields including agriculture and crisis management, where it has an expertise, and to attract investments in the state.

With the vision to convert the dream of “Make in India’ into reality, this academic collaboration will be at different levels like joint UG and Graduate, programs, student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research. With forging of such collaboration between TAU, a highly ranked university at global level and NMIMS a leading private university in India, the education sector, both in India and Israel will be immensely benefitted.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Rannan Rein, Vice-President TAU and Prof. Sharad Mhaiskar, Dean, Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering, NMIMS in presence of President of TAU Prof. Klafter.

Prof. Klafter mentioned in his reception to the CM that with the signing of the MoU with NMIMS a new chapter in the history of internal relations of TAU has begun.  Consul General David Akov also mentioned that his efforts of facilitating Collaboration between academic institutions of India and Israel are bearing fruits with the signing of the MoU between TAU and NMIMS.

According to Prof. Sharad Mhaiskar this was indeed a momentous occasion for NMIMS and marks the beginning of a new phase for Indo-Israel academic collaboration. He also indicated that the two universities were keen to collaborate in various areas like Cyber security, Food Security and Safety and Business and Innovation.
