Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB) New Delhi hosted its 19th Convocation on Saturday, May 9, 2015 with Mr. Harshavardhan Chitale, CEO Philips Lighting Solutions for South Asia Region as the Chief Guest.
Commencing the Convocation ceremony, FIIB Executive Director, Ms. Radhika Shrivastava delivered the welcome address congratulating the graduates for their efforts and the accomplishment. She complimented the batch as a whole for openly embracing the learning and rigor offered in the 2-year program. With the culmination of knowledge and right attitude she wished the students to soar high and touch the sky.
Delivering the Covocation address, the chief guest on the occasion Mr. Harshavardhan Chitale, CEO Philips Lighting Solutions for South Asia Region wished students all success and said that the graduation certificate is akin to a license to walk on the business super highway. The students have the skills and the knowledge to be successful, but their attitudes, and particularly their ability to persevere, will now differentiate them. He mentioned that they were an incredibly lucky batch to be graduating at this time when technological disruptions are changing the game on a continuous basis, and that too in India, which is poised to be one of the largest economies in the world.
At the Convocation ceremony, 10 students were awarded with the medals for scholastic and all-round performance. Each of these medals aims to recognize students who show exemplary dedication towards studies, aggressive nature but focused approach in learning new concepts, quick to understand their limitation and work on them. Anuradha Apan was declared the Marketing Area Topper and the Batch All-Rounder.
The batch of 117 beaming graduates pledged to uphold the responsibility that each of them was being placed to become change agents in the organizations and the society at large. FIIB students have been placed in diversified roles in the corporate world with well-known brands like S & P Capital IQ, Deloitte, Videocon, E&Y, Indiamart, Zomato, DBS Bank, Aidem Ventures, DSV Air & Sea, Blackrock, HDFC Bank, WNS, Lloyd Ventures.
