Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has again achieved 100% placement for the PGP class 2013-15 with higher compensation packages for the batch of 119 students participating in the placement process. 120 recruiters including many first timers reposing faith in management education at IIM Raipur visited the campus for placement 2015.
IIM Raipur although began its placement process later than number of top rated B schools, but completed it much earlier than many of them in the month of February 2015 itself. However, due to the cumbersome process in releasing the final placement report IIM Raipur has been able to release the Placement 2015 report in May 2015 only. The placement 2015 reflected an upward swing in recruitment with more recruiters offering higher placement packages while the companies competed among themselves in offer of more jobs.
Placement 2015: Key Trends
Since its inception in 2010 IIM Raipur has had the legacy of 100% placement. The placement season 2015 was no exception to the feat. Entire placement 2015 process at IIM Raipur witnessed the offers of diverse roles from 120 recruiters.
100% placement despite larger Batch size
There were 119 students seeking placement 2015 in comparison to the batch size of 109 students seeking placement in 2014. All the 119 students seeking placement got suitable offers and the process was over in a short time in the month of February 2015.
Average & Highest salary up
Beating the slowdown in placement offers, the placement season 2015 at IIM Raipur saw a rise in average salary from Rs.10.06 lakhs per annum in 2014 to Rs.11.14 lakhs per annum showing a rising trend in the job market. Apart from this highlight, another achievement at IIM Raipur placement 2015 is that the highest salary also increased from Rs.18 lakhs per annum in 2014 to Rs.21.76 lakhs per annum in 2015, a remarkable rise of 3.76 lakhs per annum.
7 students were offered international profiles with the highest offer at Rs.32.55 lakhs.
More recruiters
120 recruiters expressed interest to participate in Placement 2015 at IIM Raipur. While 87 recruiters made offers and recruited all the 119 students, other recruiters were left with no students to recruit from IIM Raipur. Number of recruiters in placement 2015 were more than 2 times than in 2014.
There were 43 recruiters offering placement in 2014. This number has increased to 87 recruiters offering placement in 2015 at IIM Raipur.
12 PPOs
There were 12 Pre placement offers (PPOs) made by the recruiters in placement 2015. It emphasises that the students from IIM Raipur have proved their mettle in the industry again.
Domain wise Placement
42% of the batch at IIM Raipur has been placed in Sales & Marketing domain followed by Operations & General management with 25% placement in 2015. 17% students were offered role in Consulting while finance domain offered placement to 14% followed b y HR with 2%.
Top Recruiters
Top recruiters in placement 2015 include many first timers also while the old buddies are maintaining and growing their relationship with IIM Raipur.
Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, DS Group, E&Y, Future Group, HDFC bank, ICICI Prudential, Idea Cellular, L&T, L&T Finance, Motilal Oswal, SBI, Times Group, Virtusa, Wipro are a few of the new recruiters who participated in the placement 2015 at IIM Raipur.
Bharat Forge, BPCL, Future Supply Chain, HT Media, ICICI Bank, Infosys BPO, JSPL, Kadence, KPMG, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Power, Tata Steel, Vedanta are a few of the top recruiters at IIM Raipur participating in placement 2015 and offering higher pay packages with more diverse offers.
