GMAT is the gateway to international MBA programmes in almost all the B schools across the world. GMAT scores are accepted by more than 6,000 business and management programs worldwide. For nearly 60 years, the GMAT exam has been the test of choice by the world’s business leaders to get into the world’s leading business schools. The reason is quite simple that no other exam lets you showcase the skills that matter most in the business school classroom and in your career.

The best part to take GMAT is that the exam is available when you’re ready to take it. Testing is available around the world. It is an unparalleled test-taking experience so that one can perform one’s best.

Who can take GMAT

A graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/institute with minimum age of 18 years can take GMAT. A candidate between 13 to 17 yrs should seek permission from parents or legal guardian to appear in GMAT.

A candidate can take GMAT 5 times in a year. These are the maximum attempts allowed in one year.

GMAT Registration

The candidate planning to register and take GMAT can register 6 months prior to taking the exam.  This is the earliest possible registration date for taking GMAT. However GMAC recommends the candidates to register 2-3 months prior to taking the exam.  The last opportunity to register for GMAT allowed by GMAC is 24 hours before the exam. No candidate can register after that and will have to schedule the exam for next slot.

GMAT: Payment of Fee

GMAC recommends online fee payment or through credit card. It will help the candidate to schedule even late. The registration application fee is USD 250

Gap of 31 days between 2 GMAT exams

The GMAT taker has to keep a Gap of 31 days between one and other exam. If one scores maximum i.e. 800/800, a wait of 5 years is needed to go again for GMAT.

The GMAT Test date should be 21 days or more prior to application deadline where you wish to apply. If the scores at the B school are supposed to be received by mail, the candidate should add 10 more days

GMAT: Admit Card

The confirmation letter received after GMAT registration is the admit card to appear in GMAT. The candidate should check and verify that the test date, name and other details are correct.

If test centre name includes ‘DoD’ or ‘Military’, a valid acceptable ID will be needed else the exam can be rescheduled.
