The most important factor while planning to pursue MBA abroad study in Singapore or any other country is to check whether the program is accredited. If the institution or the program is not accredited by an International Accreditation Agency like Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and/or Association of MBAs (AMBA), your degree might not get good recognition by number of organizations around the world or even in your own country and potential employers.

Curriculum

An MBA abroad aspirant should select the B school according to his own area of specialization wherein he/she wants to pursue the MBA abroad dream. Applicants should do a proper research on the curriculum and make sure that your intended area of major is available.

Admission Statistics

Singapore Management University (SMU)-Lee Kong Chian School of Business   

 The Lee Kong Chian School of Business of the Singapore Management University is a dynamic Asian business school with over 100 full-time faculty and more than 2500 students and is ranked amongst the top schools for its Finance and Accounting programs. MBA programme fee is SGD 58140 (Appx Indian Rs.27.36 lakhs)

SMU’s Lee Kong Chian school of Business is going to begin its next MBA programme in January 2016. MBA at SMU is preferred by the MBA abroad aspirants as the programme is accredited by international accreditation agencies AACSB and EQUIS. The recommended GMAT score for admission to SMU is also not so high. SMU may accept GMAT score 600 which is less than what is accepted at other B schools in Singapore.  MBA programme duration at SMU is also shorter as the entire MBA is completed in 12 months.

A work experience of minimum 2 years is required by SMU to offer you admission in its flagship MBA programme. MBA abroad aspirants whose medium of study in bachelor’s degree was not English need to score minimum 100 in TOEFL or 6.5 in IELTS. The last date to apply for MBA commencing January 2016 to SMU is October 15, 2015 with an application fee for SGD100. 

National University of Singapore (NUS)

Globally ranked 31, NUS offers the best of global knowledge with Asian insights focusing on bringing Asian business to the forefront of world economy and prepares students for the same and help global businesses succeed in Asia. NUS boasts of a highly diverse student body of over 37,000 students from a wide variety of backgrounds on campus and a global network of over 177,000 alumni. The B school is accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and CEMS.

MBA programme at NUS is a bit longer and is of 17 months duration. The MBA at NUS in 2016 is proposed to commence in August 2016. MBA programme fee at NUS is SGD 58000 (appx Indian Rs.27.31 lakhs).

The admission application for MBA 2016 is proposed to open in the month of October, 2015. There is no application fee to apply for MBA programme at NUS. A minimum work experience of 2 years and a valid GMAT score of 680 would be required to explore admission in NUS. MBA abroad aspirants seeking admission at NUS also need to have TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 6.5 if they have not done their bachelors’ degree in English medium.

Nanyang Technological University-Nanyang Business School (NTU-NBS)

Ranked 40th, the preferred B school for MBA abroad aspirants, Nanyang is the business school of the Nanyang Technological University. Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is the fastest-rising university in the world’s Top 50  and  is also placed 1st amongst the world’s best young universities. Nanyang B school is accredited by AACSB and EQUIS.

MBA programme at NTU-NBS is of 12 months duration. The MBA at NBS in 2016 is proposed to commence in the end of July 2016. MBA programme fee at NUS is SGD 55000 (appx Indian Rs.22.89 lakhs).
 
The admission application for MBA 2016 is proposed to open in the month of September/October, 2015. Th application fee to apply for MBA programme at NTU-NBS is SGD80. A minimum work experience of 2 years and a valid GMAT score between 600 to 670 would be required to explore admission in MBA programme at NTU-NBS. MBA abroad aspirants seeking admission at NBS need to have TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 6.5 if they have not done their bachelors’ degree in English medium.

MBA curriculum at NUS is designed and well known for its MBA in Finance, Marketing and International Management.
