Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) celebrated the 28th Commencement Day at its campus in Greater Noida for its 2015-17 batch of management students. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. A.K. Baliyan, MD & CEO, Petronet LNG Ltd (the Nation’s largest LNG importer). The Guest of Honour for the event was Dr. Arbind Prasad, Director General, FICCI.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH. In his address he spoke about the USPs of the institute. He motivated the young would be managers to think exponentially, and gave the winning mantra of Stretch- Connect-Compete-Win.
Dr. Arbind Prasad, Guest of Honour, spoke on the theme “Emerging Economic Scenario”. He presented the opportunities of business and entrepreneurship thrown open by the current vibrant economy. He encouraged the students to have a futuristic vision of becoming job providers. He also spoke about the several government policies where young minds would be playing a crucial role in nation building.
Dr. A. K. Baliyan, Chief Guest, addressed the audience on the theme “Tips To be a Successful Manager”. He reiterated the fact that the focus of every individual as well as the institutes should be to transform youth into good human beings and responsible citizens of the country. He laid special emphasis on the importance of communication skills, sound values and multitasking. He motivated the new students to dream and aspire for total leadership.
The honorable guests appreciated the endeavours of BIMTECH in grooming thought leaders and reposed faith in the institute and the new batch that they shall contribute greatly in nation building. Vote of thanks on the occasion was given by Dr. Anupam Varma, Dy. Director, BIMTECH
