The management exam for Delhi based Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) is now hours away – the FMS Test '08 will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2008.

Continuing our series on management exams, MBAUniverse.com spoke to Prof J K Mitra, Dean of FMS, seeking his last minute advice for FMS aspirants. Prof JK Mitra told MBAUniverse.com: "We advice all the students that are going to appear in FMS '08 exam to try and do well in all the sections. The sectional cut-offs is a new element included in FMS 08 test, and this aspect is very important."

Dr Mitra added, "Students should not just do well in only one or two sections. It's the all round score that will count."

In a previous MBAUniverse.com interview, when asked how he sees FMS exam different from other management exam like CAT, Prof Mitra had said, "The FMS entrance test is different from others in its approach. We believe that management programs should be open to students of all backgrounds, not just students with engineering education. So our exam is more holistic."

Like other management entrance exams, the FMS entrance exam pattern also includes Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Analytical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. Last year, there were 175 questions in total that students had to solve in 120 minutes. There were four options in each question.
