There is no minimum work experience requirement for MIT but admitted students generally have an average work experience of 5 years

MIT (Sloan) one of the world’s leading business schools delivering high end business education in a highly innovative community is going to open on-line admission application process for MBA 2016 in July 2015.

While the first round of application submission will close on September 17, 2015, the final application round will be over on April 11, 2016. MBA abroad aspirants should submit their applications by January 14, 2016 in case they miss the first round.

Admissions – Deadlines and Requirements
The MBA application for August 2016 has been announced by MIT and the online application will be available in early July. The deadlines are as follows

Round 1: September 17, 2015
Round 2: January 14, 2016
Round 3: April 11, 2016

MBA Abroad aspirants must submit the forms latest by Round 2.

MIT MBA aspirants must satisfy the following requirements prior to applying to Sloan:

1. Completion of bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. Three years bachelor’s degree from India is accepted.
2. A valid GMAT score.
3. A valid TOEFL score.
4. There is no minimum work experience requirement for MIT but admitted students generally have an average work experience of 5 years which reflects the fact that candidates with full time work experience will be preferred over freshers.

MBA Program Structure
The Sloan MBA is of 2 years featuring action based learning, collaboration, innovation and a highly customized curriculum. The program can be personalized and designed by the students suiting their career needs.

With an acceptance rate of just 13%, the program is highly selective. The core component of MIT MBA is Action Learning wherein students apply academic theories to real world business challenges. MIT is the world leader in Action Learning and has various Action Learning Labs across the world including the India Lab and the China Lab.

During the second year of the program, students can choose specialized career tracks to support their career goals. The three optional tracks offered by MIT are Enterprise Management Track, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Track and Finance Track. Students may only pursue one Track at a time but may pursue a Track and a Sustainability or Healthcare Certificate concurrently.

At the midpoint of every semester, students are provided with an intensive week of experiential learning leadership and faculty work. This gives students the opportunity to explore their intellectual abilities outside the classroom. This period is called the Sloan Innovation Period (SIP) and is crucial to personalized skill building.

Programme Fees
Annual total fee of the MIT MBA which includes tuition fee, books and supplies, food, insurance, transportation and housing is $98, 014 which is approx INR 63 lakhs annually.  In addition MIT offers a generous number of merit and need based scholarships to deserving candidates.

Career Outcomes
Career prospects after an MIT MBA need little explanation. MIT graduates are among the  world’s most sought after. The career development center at MIT provides several resources to assist the students in job search.

89.7% of the total graduates accepted the job offers whereas 16% either returned to their sponsoring companies or started their own business. Consulting (33.9%) was the sector where highest number of students was recruited. The median base salary of the class of 2014 was recorded to be $124,400 approx INR 80 lakhs annually. Top hires included McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Apple, Amazon, Google and PwC.
