Registration for NMAT 2016 (NMAT by GMAC 2016 was opened on July 2, 2015 and will close on October 5, 2015 without late fee. Late Registration will remain open till October 19, 2015. The 5 step registration process for NMAT by GMAC can be completed in 10-15 minutes.

NMAT 2016 (NMAT by GMAC) will be the official entrance exam to enter SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (School Of Business Management), apart from 11 other universities and B schools in India offering MBA/PGDM programmes 2016-18. Approximately 60000 to 70000 aspirants are expected to appear in computer based NMAT by GMAC to be held in 75 days test window from October 6 to December 19, 2015 with the opportunity available with the test taker to maximise the score by making 3 attempts for NMAT by GMAC 2016.

With the acquisition of NMAT by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the entrance exam for admission to MBA programmes beginning 2016 at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and 11 other Universities and B-schools is now known as NMAT by GMAC.

The candidate has to register and complete the application / registration / fees payment process at both the websites - NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University) and NMAT website to be considered for further selection process.

Aspirant friendly registration process
The online registration process for NMAT 2016 (NMAT by GMAC) has more features this year. Candidates can register for the NMAT by GMAC exam from mobile. You can register anytime from anywhere. However, candidates will have to register for the exam and separately they will have to go to the respective school/university website and complete their application process.

More payment options have been added to pay the NMAT by GMAC 2016 exam fee. This year the candidates will have an additional choice to pay the NMAT exam fees through net banking option. NMAT by GMAC has tied up with billdesk and it allows candidates to use any of the 58 banks listed in the net banking option to pay the exam fees online. This will give more choice to the candidates while registering for the exam.

Step by Step Registration for NMAT 2016 (NMAT by GMAC)
The site to register for the NMAT by GMAC exam lies on the site at www nmat org in

Step-1: New user
Click on “Register Now” in the Quick Links on the right side of the screen and enter a valid email ID. Click on “No, I am a new user”. New user registration details will open, enter your first and last name and choose a password. Click on “Register and Sign In” button.

Step-2: Validate email Id
A new window will appear prompting you to complete the online application form. An authentication email will be sent to the email you provided. You will be able to proceed with registration only after validating your email ID.

Step-3: Complete online form
Now you will need to complete the online application form related to your personal, educational and work experience. Choose the schools to send your scores under the "Programme Details" section. Up to 7 programmes are included in your registration fee. An additional fee of INR 200+ applicable taxes will be applied for each programme added in excess of 7 programmes.

To understand and proceed with the registration process, refer the “Registration Guide” available with registration form. You must read the Terms and Conditions and click on the “I Agree” button to accept.

Step-4: Submit
Click on the Submit button to complete your registration. But remember to review your application carefully before submitting the form. Once the “Submit” button is clicked for the registration form of NMAT by GMAC, no other changes can be made except “Update Programme Selection/ Retake” and “Update Candidate Preferences” sections.

The next screen will display your unique NMAT Registration Number.

Step-5: make payment
Pay the applicable exam fee for successful completion of NMAT by GMAC registration.

Click on the “Click here to make payment” link that appears along with the NMAT Registration Number. The Make Payment screen will display the payment options. You can pay by Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking and Demand Draft for NMAT by GMAC registration.

After successful registration, you will receive an email with your unique NMAT Registration Number. You should use this NMAT Registration Number for all future correspondence with GMAC.

After your application and fee is accepted by GMAC, you will receive an email with your username and password to logon to www.pearsonvue.com/nmatbygmac and schedule your test on a preferred date and location subject to availability. Please also remember to register for the NMAT exam during the registration window in order to become eligible for an “NMAT Retake” exam.

How to make Payment to appear in NMAT by GMAC

According to GMAC, “You are required to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 1600 plus applicable taxes as applicable based on the programme choices. If you wish to apply to more than seven (7) programmes a fee of INR 200 plus applicable taxes will be charged for each additional programme.”

Modes of payment
You have 3 choices to make payment through and can choose any of them

Online: You can make payment Online through Visa or MasterCard Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking/American Express Card/ Diners Card.

Billdesk: GMAC has tied up with billdesk and it allows candidates to use any of the 58 banks listed in the net banking option to pay the exam fees online

Demand Draft: You may choose to pay through a demand draft (DD) from any Bank and prepared in favour of Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Private Limited payable at Gurgaon. At the back of the DD, you must provide: name, registration number, and programme(s) selected. You should select the mode of payment as DD in the "Make Payment" tab and click "Submit" after completing the required DD details.

The Demand Draft has to be sent to GMAC, c/o GreenClouds, 6708, DLF Phase IV, Gurgaon - 122 002, Haryana, India (Phone: 092130 27791/ 92)
GMAC will authenticate the payment details of all DDs and will send a payment confirmation email. You can also print the payment advice once the payment is realized by logging in on the Registration Website.
