As shared by MBAUniverse.com earlier, CAT Centre 2015 has officially announced the single day 2 session exam schedule and the registration opening dates for CAT 2015 on July 26, 2015.
The notification for CAT 2015 exam is out today in all leading newspapers with all the important and relevant details regarding the exam. Instead of 2 or more days, CAT 2015 will be summed up in a single day on November 29, 2015 in 2 sessions. Registration for CAT 2015 will open on August 6, 2015 and will continue till September 20, 2015.

CAT 2015 is the mandatory entrance exam for flagship PGP programmes 2016-18 and other programmes in 19 IIMs and other top rated B schools like FMS, MDI, IMI, NITIE, SPJIMR, IMT, BIMTECH, TAPMI, XIMB, Great Lakes among others. One more IIM, the IIM J&K is proposed to be added to the list in 2016 making the IIM tally to 20.

In a deviation from CAT 2014 which was held in a 2 day test window with 4 sessions, CAT 2015 will be held in a single day two sessions.

CAT 2015 website operational from July 26
Belying earlier predictions about the launching CAT 2015 website on July 27, not only the notification has been out but also the CAT 2015 website with relevant information in detail and other FAQs has become functional from today July 26, 2015.

Registration: Online only with Rs.1600/- as fee
Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 registration will open on August 6, 2015 and will continue till September 20, 2015. According to CAT Centre 2015 “Online registration for CAT 2015 is between the period of Thursday, 6th August 2015 10:00AM and Sunday, 20th September 2015 11:59PM.”

The registration and application fee for CAT 2015 is Rs. 1600 and to be paid online only. According to CAT 2015 website “The fee is Rs.1600 for General and NC-OBC Candidates. However, if you belong to the SC/ST/PWD (DA) category the applicable fee is Rs.800.”

CAT 2015 will not offer any facility of Off- line voucher purchase and all the registration activity will have to completed on-line only. A choice of 4 test cities will be available at the time of registration.

Allotment of centre
Test centre as per the availability will be allotted after the last date of registration is over.

136 Test cities
As per the CAT 2015 notification the test will be held in 136 test cities all across India in a single  day test window on Nov 29, 2015 divided in 2 sessions.

Admit Card from Oct 15
CAT aspirants will be able to download the CAT 2015 admit card wef October 15, 2015 till the exam date i.e. November 29, 2015. CAT Centre 2015 says “Admit card will be available for view and print from Thursday, 15th October 2015, 1:00PM onwards.”

Late Result
CAT 2015 result will be declared during the 2nd week of January, 2016. Exact date of result declaration has not been announced. The scores will remain valid till December 31, 2016 for admission to IIMs and other B schools accepting CAT 2015 scores.
