Only a day remains to register and apply for MAT 2015 September exam, the gateway to MBA/PGDM programmes to more than 180 B-schools across the country.

All India Management Association (AIMA), the authority convening paper pencil and online Management Aptitude Test (MAT) Sep 2015 will close the online as well as offline registration process for the exam on August 22, 2015. The completed application has to be submitted online or off-line latest by August 25, 2015.

Registration and application process for national level MAT 2015 September exam for admission to MBA/PGDM 2016-18 programme was opened in July 2015 and is proposed to close on August 22, 2015. MAT 2015 September is the first exam for MBA/PGDM admission in 2016.The validity of MAT 2015 September score is one year, hence the scores of MAT 2015 September will be accepted by more than 180 B schools across the country for MBA/PGDM admission 2016.

MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). Usually there are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December.  The scores of MAT 2015 September will be used as admission criteria for MBA/PGDM programmes commencing 2016. 

Registration closes Aug 22
Registration for MAT 2015 September is proposed to be closed on August 22, 2015 while the last date of receipt of filled in online registration form at AIMA New Delhi is August 25, 2015.
Candidates can buy the forms from the designated AIMA Nodal centres across India. Candidates have the option of online registration also. You can buy or download the application form till August 22, 2015. The MAT 2015 September registration application complete in all respect should be received at AIMA New Delhi latest by August 25, 2015.

Payment and application mode
The registration application fee for MAT 2015 September is Rs 1200/-. Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to register and apply for MAT 2015 September

Online
You may register online at AIMA website link for MAT 2015 September and can pay through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking

By Demand draft
Candidates can obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Then they can register online at AIMA website. You should fill up the registration form alongwith the DD details.

Offline: Pay cash
Candidates can obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed Nodal Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.

Choose 5 top B schools with no extra charges
MAT 2015 September registration and application process has provided the facility of filling up 5 free choices of Management Institutes in order of preference in the application form.

Choose either paper pen or CBT exam
AIMA provides two options to appear in MAT 2015 September and the candidates can appear either in paper-pen mode examination or in online computer based test. However no candidate can exercise both the options.

MAT 2015 September: Exam dates
Test dates for Paper pencil mode and for Computer based test in MAT 2015 September would be different. Candidates can opt for either of the two.

Paper pen mode- MAT in Paper pen mode will be conducted on Sunday Sep 6, 2015. The test will be of 150 minutes and will be conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM.

Computer Based online test- Candidates opting for CBT online test will be required to appear in the test from Saturday September 12, 2015 onwards. The test will be held in different time slots subject to availability. According to AIMA ‘If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 12 September 2015 itself.’It implies that in case there is more number of candidates the test may be conducted for few more days after Sep 12, 2015 also.

Test cities for paper pen test
There are 63 test cities in India and abroad where MAT 2015 September in Paper pen mode will be conducted. For computer based test MAT 2015 September will be conducted only at 12 centres. Rest of the test centres will have the facility of paper pen based test. Besides, the venues for paper pencil mode test and computer based tests will also be different from one another.

Admit card from August 29 onwards
All the registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based MAT 2015 September can download their Admit Card from AIMA website from August 29, 2015 onwards.  Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. No separate Admit Card will be issued and sent to a candidate.

Key details in Admit Card
Admit Card will contain Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test.

CBT: option to choose Date and time slot
Candidates who have opted for MAT 2015 September Computer Based Test can choose the date and time slot of their choice, subject to availability. Date and time slot will be automatically allotted by the system to those candidates who do not select their slot up to 4 days before the Computer Based Test. No request for change of date and time slot will be entertained by AIMA.

MAT 2015 September: Exam Pattern
MAT, Sep 2015 will be an objective type test with multiple-choice Questions (MCQs). The test will be divided among 5 key sections on which questions will be formed. The 5 test sections in MAT 2015 September will be Language Comprehension, Mathematical skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment.

Each of the 5 sections will have 40 questions making it a total of 200 questions to be solved in 150 minutes.

Declaration of Result
Result for MAT 2015 September is expected to be declared in the last week of September, 2015. In fact MAT is the only computer based test the result of which is declared so early after the written exam. This legacy is consistently maintained by AIMA.

With the change announced by AICTE to conduct CMAT on yearly basis, the candidates who were waiting to appear in CMAT 2015 September are now left with only MAT 2015 September. It is expected that the number of registrations and applications for MAT 2015 September will increase substantially as compared to earlier MAT exams.

MAT is being administered since 1988 to facilitate B-Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a National Level test in 2003. Any B-School-national or international can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.
