International Management Institute (IMI) successfully launched its Alumni Singapore Chapter meet at 1-Altitude on August 29, 2015. The meet was graced by various senior alumni and IMI Dean of Alumni Affairs, Prof. BA Metri and Dean of Corporate Relations, Prof. Manaswini Acharya.
The ceremony was a huge success with a turnout of about 69 alumni out of the total base of 95 alumni to the venue. The event saw a participation of alumni from batches 1985 to 2011. The event kicked off with a speech by Dean BA Metri and Prof Manaswini Acharya highlighting college affairs and accomplishments around the year. IMI Director General Dr Bakul Dholakia sent his best wishes to fellow alumni for scaling greater heights and bringing glory to their lives and the institution.
Prof Manaswini Acharya led the discussion on the current positioning of the college among the top leading institutions in India with collective efforts of alumni, management and students at IMI. The discourse also cited the growth of the institution under the leadership and patronage of Director General, Dr. Bakul Dholakia with the constant endeavour and support of the alumni in actively contributing to various college activities. The participants witnessed an engaging interactive discussion with IMI alumni on ways to reinforce the purpose of alumni meets and suggestions to further strengthen the alumni connect.
IMI senior most alumnus Mr. BK Iyer (Batch of 1985 ), retired GM from ICICI Bank shared his insights on creating a robust Singapore chapter with the collaborative efforts of the college and the alumni. Informal discussions followed at the dinner with brief photography sessions for the gathered crowd. The event culminated to a grand success by the support of college management and alumni fraternity throughout the journey.
Dean BA Metri congratulated the executive committee for their unrelenting assistance in making this Inaugural ceremony for Singapore Chapter an unparalleled success.
