IIFT 2015: Registration closes tomorrow on Sep 3; no extension in deadline proposed

IIFT the top rated B-school offering 2 years full time MBA (IB) programme will close the admission application process tomorrow on Sep 3, 2015 for the batch 2016-18. The National Level Admission Test for MBA (IB) batch 2016-18 courses at the Delhi and Kolkata campuses of IIFT will be convened on November 22, 2015 in a single session in paper-pen mode. So far the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has not proposed any extension in the last date to register and apply for the entrance exam.

Registration to IIFT 2015 exam was opened on July 15, 2015 and will close on September 3, 2015. The entrance test for MBA (IB) 2016-18 is proposed to be conducted in 20 major cities across the country.

Application process
IIFT has offered the facility to apply online as well as off line. The applicants have to submit completed application forms in either mode latest by September 3, 2015. Any candidate who is a graduate and can produce the proof of his qualification before October 7, 2016 is eligible to appear.

How to apply On line
For IIFT 2015 registration, candidates are required to visit IIFT website and register themselves with their mail id. The online form for IIFT 2015 registration is available thereat. The form is to be filled in as per the given instructions. Further the print-out of the Form has to be taken out and the candidates are required to attach their photograph and sign the form as instructed. The print out along with the necessary enclosures has to be sent to IIFT so as to reach there on or before the last date.

Apply Off line  
IIFT 2015 registration can also be done in off-line mode. The candidates could also buy the Prospectus in cash or through demand draft. The completed Application Form had to be sent in the envelope provided for the purpose to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, so as to reach IIFT on or before September 3, 2015.

The last date for obtaining application by post is August 20, 2014 while the last date to obtain Application form & prospectus across the counter at IIFT (By Cash) is September 3, 2015 and the candidates will have to submit the completed IIFT 2015 registration and application in all respects at IIFT on the same date.

Candidates should retain a photocopy of the completed form and Demand Draft for future reference.

IIFT 2015 exam pattern
IIFT MBA (IB) admission 2016 entrance test is a paper pencil mode, multiple choice objective type written test (in English) consisting of questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.

Test will be conducted on Nov 22, 2015 with duration of 2 hours from 10 AM to 12 noon.

20 Test Centres
IIFT 2015 entrance exam will be conducted in 20 test cities namely Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

GDPI in 7 cities in February 2016
Based on the marks obtained in the Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be called for second phase of admission process consisting Essay Writing, Group Discussion and Interview. The GDPIWAT process for admission to IIFT is expected to be held in January/February 2016 at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

Highly ranked B-school
IIFT entrance test is one of the most preferred MBA entrance exams. Around 60 thousand candidates are expected to go for IIFT 2015 registration and apply for admission to 200 seats of MBA (International Business) programme for both campuses of IIFT at Delhi and Kolkata. The ratio per candidate is higher than any other MBA entrance test. IIFT doesn’t accept any other score than the score of its own entrance test for domestic candidates. For NRIs and foreign nationals GMAT scores are accepted.

IIFT MBA (IB) course Fee
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has not yet finally decided its fee structure for 2016-18 batch.  The tuition fee for each participant of 2015-17 batch is Rs.7 lacs per year. Since it is a 2 years programme, the total tuition fee would be Rs. 14.5 lacs. Apart from this other charges to the tune of Rs. 50 thousand towards computer facility, internet, library,  alumni charges and IMF (student body) are also to be paid by the students in the first and second year.  The fee can be paid in 3 installments every year. It is expected that an amount of Rs.50,000/- will be added to the tuition fee to study MBA (IB) at IIFT in 2016-18.

Hostel charges at IIFT are Rs. 47000 and Rs. 57000 per year for triple and double occupancy accommodation respectively. Since MBA (IB) is a full time residential programme all the students have to opt for hostel accommodation at IIFT.

IIFT is a deemed University and MBA (International Business) at IIFT is a six trimester management programme with a focus on International Business for developing a competent cadre of business executives to meet the country's growing requirements for trained personnel in the field of International Business Management.
