Dr Shekhar Chaudhuri, Chairperson of The Hindu BusinessLine- - MBAUniverse.com B-school Rankings 2016 Advisory Committee, is the Former Director of IIM Calcutta; and presently the Professor of Strategic Management Group at IIM Calcutta. Dr Shekhar Chaudhuri was the Director of IIM Calcutta for two consecutive terms - November 2002 to April 2013. During his tenure at IIM Calcutta, the Institute went through a multifaceted transformation that resulted in the institute being accorded membership of CEMS in 2012, and later accreditation by AMBA in 2013, and AACSB in 2014. After a brief stint in industry in 1981, Dr Chaudhuri moved into academics and joined his alma-mater IIM Ahmedabad as a faculty member in the Business Policy Area, where he worked till 2002. At IIM A he did pioneering work in the area of Management of Technology. In November 2002, Dr Chaudhuri was appointed as the Director of IIM Calcutta. He served the institution for two consecutive terms of five years from November 25, 2002 till April, 8 2013. Currently he is the faculty member of the Strategic Management Group of IIM Calcutta.
Renowned academician Dr T V Rao, distinguished member of The Hindu BusinessLine- - MBAUniverse.com B-school Rankings 2016 advisory committee is the Former Professor, IIMA and Member of the IIMA Society & Board of Governors and Chairman, TVRLS. Dr Rao is popularly known as the ‘Father of HRD movement in India’. He currently serves as a Member of the IIM A Society & Board of Governors. Dr Rao is also the Founder and first President of the National HRD (NHRD) Network, and the First Honorary Director of the Academy of HRD, India. Dr Rao is the first to start in India a Leadership Development methodology in mid-eighties using what is later termed in the USA as 360 Degree Feedback. He has designed and assisted in implementing performance appraisal and other HRD Systems for a number of organizations in India and Abroad.
Mr S Sivakumar is the Divisional Chief Executive of the Agri Business Division. He is also the Chairman of Technico Agri Sciences Limited, and Vice Chairman of ITC Infotech India Limited and its subsidiaries in the UK and USA. Sivakumar has conceptualised and spearheaded the execution of the path-breaking ITC e-Choupal model. Topper of the Class of 1983 from the Institute of Rural Management Anand, (IRMA), Sivakumar worked with a farmers' cooperative for six years before joining ITC in 1989. Sivakumar served on the Boards of India's NABARD, and Indo US Knowledge Initiative on Agriculture, and UN Global Compact's Core Advisory Group, among other organisations

The rankings, created under the supervision of an eminent advisory committee, will offer a credible yardstick for MBA aspirants to decide which business school to apply to. A formal announcement to this effect was made in ‘The Hindu’ on September 17 and is available on MBAUniverse.com. The conduct and publication of Rankings 2016 will be a joint venture of 'The Hindu Business Line & MBAUniverse.com’.
Since 2010, MBAUniverse.com annually releases its B-school Rankings, widely recognized as India’s most credible & ‘toughest’ Ranking. The Hindu Business Line - MBAUniverse.com B-school Rankings 2016 will use a 360 degree evaluation approach using 'INPUT – PROCESS – OUTCOME' framework. A team of researchers shall verify all data in the questionnaire with AICTE/UGC Disclosures. Field visits shall be made where required. Questionnaires to 200 B-schools for participation in rankings have been sent. The questionnaire can also be downloaded from website. Last date to participate is October 10, 2015.
The Rankings will be released in November 2015 in Bangalore and will be published in The Hindu, Hindu Business Line newspapers & MBAUniverse.com, thus reaching to over 1.75 lakh MBA/PGDM aspirants.
