IIM Ahmedabad has announced the extension in CAT 2015 registration date from Sep 20 to Sep 25, 2015. The historic decision to extend the CAT 2015 registration for another 5 days is expected to benefit thousands of CAT 2015 aspirants who missed to register and apply in time for the largest management entrance exam CAT 2015.
Testimony to this fact is the data shared with MBAUniverse.com by the CAT 2015 convener Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay. There were barely over 92000 candidates who preferred to register for CAT 2015 till September 13, 2015 However, after sharing with aspirants the consistent updates on registration process and publishing alerts about short time left to complete the application for CAT 2015 on its portal, MBAUniverse.com was informed by CAT 2015 convener that the registration count had increased to 1.60 lakhs in a week’s time as on September 19, 2015. It means thousands of the CAT 2015 aspirants who simply forgot to finalize the registration for CAT 2015, got the timely benefit from the MBAUniverse.com CAT 2015 registration alerts which did their job well and resulted in 5 day extension of CAT 2015 registration date by the CAT Centre 2015.
Now with the extension of 5 days to register for CAT 2015, number of candidates who couldn’t register for CAT 2015 by the registration closing date September 20, 2015 need not worry, as one more chance to the aspirants to register for CAT 2015 to finalize the registration has been made available till September 25, 2015. IIM Ahmedabad proposes no further extension in registration date for CAT 2015.
Candidates have to remember that the registration will remain open till 11.59PM on September 25, 2015. The faster you are, the better will be your prospects to register for CAT 2015 during the extended 5 day registration window.

CAT 2015 registration site www.iimcat.ac.in has been flashing the message since September 19, 2015 prominently on its home page inviting all the CAT 2015 aspirants to avail the opportunity of registration for CAT 2015 till September 25, 2015 and has stated “The form date is extended upto 25th Sept 2015. Candidates can register and make the payment till 25th Sept 2015”
Opportunity for already registered and new candidates
Now both types of the candidates who have either already created profile for CAT 2015 but have not yet made payment or wish to apply fresh, can finalize the registration and application process by making online payment till Sep 25.
Once the payment is made and the message on the site conveys successful, they will also receive the message on their mobile phone about the successful completion of CAT 2015 registration in the following format ‘Dear xxx, your application for CAT 2015 has been submitted successfully’
Fresh on-line registration for CAT 2015 will also be allowed till 11.59 PM on Friday, September 25, 2015.
Aspirant friendly move by CAT 2015 convener
During the past many years registration date for CAT exam was not extended except for CAT 2014 when the registration process was re-opened only for a day as candidates were facing technical glitches in finalizing the registration on the last day mainly due to heavy rush. To a great extent the factors accounted for the extension in CAT 2015 registration. Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, convener CAT 2015 also took care to inform MBAUniverse.com about this development so that awareness could be spread among the CAT 2015 aspirants who missed the registration process due to one or other problem.
CAT 2015 registration process is same
There is no change whatsoever in the registration process after the announcement of CAT 2015 registration extension nor any late fee or penalty is imposed upon those who register during Sep 21 to Sep 25, 2015. Candidates have to follow the same process as advised on CAT 2015 site.
They have to register first with their mail id and then go to existing user login icon to proceed with the registration process. The most important aspect is that the candidates should keep all their details ready to complete the registration process as fast as possible.
Remember Sept 25; the last day to register for CAT 2015
No further opportunity to register for CAT 2015 is proposed to be granted after September 25 by CAT 2015 convening IIM Ahmedabad. Make the best use of it. The registration process will remain open for all the CAT 2015 aspirants.
Those who couldn’t register due to some technical glitches or missed the date can avail the opportunity afresh.

In case CAT 2015 aspirants are not able to view the updated pop up on CAT site it may be because of one of the following reasons-
-old history,
-cookies due to not ending sessions properly;
- Java script not enabled
- Popup not allowed
In such case, please delete the old history and hopefully you will get the updated popup on your screen, when you visit the CAT 2015 registration site again.
This is a great opportunity and all such CAT 2015 aspirants who couldn’t complete their registration process till September 20, 2015 should not miss the last opportunity to complete the registration process for CAT 2015 by Sep 25, 2015.
