Announcing the delay of 10 days in issue of CAT 2015 Admit cards, CAT Centre 2015 clarifies ‘Admit Card for CAT 2015 will be available from 25th Oct 2015, 1 PM till exam day’. Now the displayed heading icons under important dates on CAT 2015 site convey that Oct 25, 2015 is the date to download the CAT 2015 Admit card from 1 PM onwards instead of October 15.

The Admit Card was earlier proposed to be issued on October 15, 2015. You will have to log onto the CAT website with your registered User ID. You will be eligible for an Admit Card only upon submission of online application form. You will receive an automated email confirmation upon successful submission.”

2 main reasons
The delay of 10 days in issuing the CAT 2015 Admit Card is caused due to 2 major reasons. The first one is higher number of registrations which has gone to 2.18 lakhs in CAT 2015 from 1.97 lakhs in CAT 2014. In order to cope with the rush CAT Centre 2015 might have required few more days to finalise the issuance of CAT 2015 Admit Cards.

Another major reason in delay of issuing CAT 2015 admit card could be the extension of 5 days from Sep 20 to Sep 25, 2015 in CAT 2015 registration process. Now more checks & balances are required to be placed before issuing the CAT 2015 Admit Cards to 2.18 lakh candidates.

3 day delay last year
In CAT 2014 the issue of Admit cards was also delayed by 3 days. It was earlier announced that CAT Admit cards would be available for view and print from Thursday, 16th October 2014 onwards but on October 15, 2014, IIMs posted the massage that the Admit Cards would be available to view and print on October 19, 2014 from 1 PM onwards.
