CAT 2017 Admit Card: Important do’s and don’t, Last minute checks; don’t miss

Candidates are worried about the mistakes and mismatch in the CAT 2015 Admit card issued at 1 PM on October 25, 2015 in PDF form. Although the admit card was accessible without any technical glitches and was enabled by the CAT Centre 2015, five minutes prior to scheduled time, candidates have raised their concerns on the mismatch they found in the CAT 2015 admit card.

CAT Centre 2015 has addressed all the concerns of CAT 2015 aspirants related to admit card and has also shared how to rectify them assuring the candidates not to worry.

The admit card will remain available for view and download till CAT 2015 exam day, says the CAT Centre 2015. However, prior to 12.45 PM on October 25, 2015 CAT 2015 site displayed the message “The Login to form will be available only between 25-10-2015 12 Hours 45 Minutes to 25-01-2016 23 Hours 55 Minutes.” No CAT 2015 aspirant was allowed to login as existing user before 12.45 PM today even to view the summary and details of CAT 2015 application already submitted by him.

Admit card addresses all as ‘she’
The instructions contained in Admit card addresses even the male candidates as female candidates. For example instruction 4 reads “Candidate will be disqualified from CAT 2015, if she attempts to appear for the test more than once.”  Similarly instruction nos. 8 & 10 also address the candidate as ‘her’.

Many candidates raised their concern why it was so and whether their gender was incorrectly described by CAT Centre 2015. This concern of the candidates was conveyed to the CAT 2015 convener Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay who has clarified “it was not an inadvertent mistake and the candidates don’t need to worry.” Hence the instructions are in order and there is no issue with the CAT 2015 Admit Card.

Blank Admit cards
A number of candidates reported that their admit cards were blank. There is nothing to worry about it.  If the candidate has registered multiple times, CAT Centre 2015 will consider only the most recent (last) registration as the official application for CAT 2015. Admit Card generated for you is for the most recent (last) registration. Thus, if you login using User ID of earlier registration attempts, your Admit Card will be blank.

-- The precaution therefore is that you should view the Admit Card only using the recommended browsers and not from your mobile phone.
-- Do not login with your user id of earlier registration attempts. It may produce only blank admit card.
-- Use only the most recent CAT 2015 registration user ID. This will enable you to view the Admit card with details since CAT Centre 2015 recognizes only the most recent (last) registration as the official application for CAT 2015.
