Number of CAT 2015 aspirants out of 2.18 lakhs did not get their CAT 2015 admit cards due to their own faults in leaving the registration process incomplete and not uploading the relevant documents. Exclusively sharing the information with MBAUniverse.com Prof Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, Convener CAT 2015 and Admission chair IIM Ahmedabad says “All the candidates who have uploaded the required documents are issued the admit cards. We could not issue to several hundreds who did not upload the required documents even after sending them the reminders.”
Still can get the Admit Card
These candidates still have time to get CAT 2015 Admit Cards, if they upload the required documents and complete the registration process for CAT 2015. To get the problem resolved they have to contact CAT Centre 2015.
IIM Ahmedabad the CAT 2015 convening institute has clarified if you are unable to view your Admit Card post log in, or find your details mismatch to your application details which you can view along with the Admit card details, there is no need to panic. You should refer to the help desk on toll free number 1-800-266-0207 or can connect on email [email protected]
However, the candidates need to move fast in the matter as CAT Centre 2015 may not entertain the requests indefinitely.
Registration incomplete without payment
If you completed the first part of registration process and got CAT 2015 user ID and password, you were allowed to complete the registration and application process for the exam. The last page of CAT 2015 registration required you to make online payment. If you have made the requisite payment of registration fee and clicked on submit button, you were registered for CAT 2015 although you might have not uploaded a required document.
In case you did not pay, the registration process is incomplete and there is no way to make payment of the registration fee now as the process is closed. You will also not be allowed to complete the registration process . CAT Centre 2015 helpdesk will also not be able to help you.
If you paid the registration fee
If you paid the registration fee for CAT 2015, got the message of successful submission but have not got your admit card, you must approach the help desk to know the reason behind it. If you are able to address it, you will get the document.
Incorrect details in registration form
If you entered incorrect details in your CAT 2015 registration form like incorrect name, date of birth, email id, state and country you may not correct it at a later stage. But, if you have genuinely made a mistake in entering your Date Of Birth, State, etc., you will have to show evidence of the correct data at the time of examination/interview/admission else your candidature will be nullified.
The ability to edit application profile was available only until you did not submit the Application Form. Once you had submitted and made the exam fee payment, you were not allowed to make any more changes. You could only view and print thereafter.
Those who have even received the CAT 2015 admit card on the basis of wrong information furnished, will get their candidature cancelled when they produce the relevant documents at the exam or interview time.
Required Documents with registration
Since registration process is closed now, you cannot complete the process without specific permission from CAT Centre 2015. Mandatory documents which were required to be uploaded at the time of registration are as under
Your Photo & signature
Passport Size Photograph and Signature of required size were required to be uploaded during the registration process of CAT 2015.
The scanned image of your passport photo within the dimensions of 35mm X 45mm and the scanned image of your signature within the dimensions of 80mm X 35mm were required to be uploaded alongwith the registration for CAT 2015. The required document file format was .jpg or .jpeg and the required file size was not more than 80KB each. The required image had to be clear with a minimum resolution of 150px/inch.
The required photo was not to be more than six months old and had to have a white background.n The same photograph as uploaded in the registration form would be required to be carried on the day of interview, scheduled in Feb 2016.
Category certificate
Candidates from NC-OBC/SC/ST category needed to upload the category certificate while registering for CAT 2015. The Certificate could be downloaded from the CAT Website, required information was to be entered and had to be attested from the appropriate authorities, self-attested and scanned as PDF document to be uploaded.
PWD/DA Certificate
Candidates from this category had to download this certificate from the CAT Website and after entering the required information and attestation it was required to be uploaded to complete the registration process.
Options available now
The scenario-1 is that you made the payment of application fee but could not complete the registration and did not upload the documents. The chances of such omission are although less but may not be ruled out. You have the option of approaching CAT 2015 help desk who may allow you to upload the documents and issue you the necessary CAT 2015 admit card.
Other situation is that you simply went through the first part of registration process and got your user ID and pass word but did not proceed with completing the application process nor made the payment. Since the registration process for CAT 2015 is closed, it may not be possible for CAT Centre 2015 to allow you to complete it now and you will have to wait for CAT 2016.
CAT 2015 aspirants who have not yet uploaded their relevant documents are advised to get in touch with CAT Centre 2015 and get the access to complete the process by uploading the required documents to get their Admit Cards.
