CAT 2015: May lose candidature; don't skip important instructions in Admit card

The CAT 2015 Admit Card despite being the mandatory document is not the only document you have to carry on the testing day to the test venue. You will need one more original ID to prove your identity at the test venue.

According to IIM Ahmedabad the CAT 2015 convening IIM “At least one original (not photocopied or scanned) and valid (not expired) photo identification card (such as College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar, UID, Identification Affidavit) should also be presented.”

In case any of the CAT 2015 aspirants does not have any other photo id card as listed and shared by CAT Centre 2015, he should get the identification affidavit prepared. The format for Identification Affidavit is available on CAT 2015 website.

Photo ID with same image
CAT Centre 2015 has directed the aspirants that the candidate's photograph and signature images should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on Admit Card. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged. It will be better to check one now for the D-day and if not available, get the same prepared well in advance.

Admit card invalid if illegibly printed
The tit bits are those important things which we tend to forget at the eleventh hour. It will be good if you take print of your Admit card early and on A4 size paper as recommended by CAT Centre 2015.

The print of admit card will be valid only if the candidate's photograph and signature images are legibly printed.

Make sure to affix same photo on Admit Card
One photo of the candidate has to be pasted in the space provided on the CAT 2015 Admit Card. The photo should be the same as uploaded by you in your registration form. Please note that affixing any other photo may also disqualify you from appearing in CAT 2015 exam.

Don’t sign the admit card, till invigilator comes
Do not put your signature on the admit card before you enter the CAT 2015 test venue and the invigilator comes to you. The signature on the admit card will have to be done before the invigilator in the testing room.

Remember the don’ts
Please remember not to carry Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as watches, calculators and stationary items like pen, pencil, and paper as they are not allowed inside the CAT 2015 test venue. You should carry only CAT 2015 Admit Card & Photo ID Card only.

The admit card will remain available for view and download till CAT 2015 exam day. You are supposed to report at 7:30 AM for the forenoon session and at 1:00 PM for the afternoon session. CAT Centre 2015 has informed that no candidate will be allowed inside the test centre after 8:45 AM for the forenoon session and post 2:15 PM for the afternoon session
