CMAT 2016: Registration by Cash awards 3 grace days; complete the process by Dec 13

A grace period of 3 days will be awarded, if making cash payment to finalize the CMAT 2016 registration by December 13 instead of the December 10, 2015 fixed as the last date for registration with online payment
After depositing the cash towards the registration fee with bank charges in the bank on December 11, you are supposed to complete and submit the registration form online by 13th December 2015

Announcing many changes in CMAT 2016 that came as surprise for the aspirants in otherwise earlier stereo typed registration process and the exam pattern, AICTE has added another feature awarding a grace period of 3 days, if making cash payment, to finalize the CMAT 2016 registration by December 13 instead of the December 10, 2015 fixed as the last date for registration with online payment.

Registration process for CMAT 2016 for admission to MBA/PGDM 2016-18 course in 400+ B schools in India was opened by AICTE on November 3 and is proposed to close on December 10,  in case of making payment online and on December 13, 2015 if making cash payment of registration fee in the bank. CMAT 2016 will be held by AICTE on Sunday January 17, 2016 in a single session and single day in 62 test cities across the country.

Know the registration process with Cash payment
The entire registration process for CMAT 2016 is online. However candidates are allowed to make cash payment in bank account at any of the SBI bank branches. Test fee is included in the registration and application fee for CMAT 2016. For General/OBC Category candidates the registration and test fee is Rs. 1400/- and for SC/ST/PD candidates the test fee is Rs.700/-. This fee is excluding the bank charges, which comes to Rs. 40/- on the registration fee of Rs.1400/- and are to be paid while paying the fee challan in cash.

A candidate can pay the fee on-line through Net banking/Credit/Debit card or can pay cash through challan generated online and cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India.  Please remember Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Process of cash payment
If you select the option to pay by Cash, you will see a Challan on your screen with your details that you entered in the CMAT 2016  registration form, already filled in it.  You need to take 3 Print outs of this challan, fill in the details wherever required in all the copies, and walk in to your nearest SBI bank branch with cash on the next day of generation of Challan. Cash Deposit will be accepted only from the next day of your Challan generation

Understand with example
If you Generate and Print the Challan copies on 5th November, 2015, you should walk in to the nearest SBI bank branch with Challan copies and Cash from 6th November, 2015 onwards. Similarly if you Print the Challan copies on 6th November, 2015, you should walk in to the nearest SBI bank branch with Challan copies and cash from 7th November 2015 onwards

Key points to note

-- Once you click on print the Challan, you will find on your screen 3 copies of generated challan for CMAT 2016 registraion fee.
-- Please print the challan & visit your nearest branch of State Bank of India to deposit cash after 24 hours once you generated the challan.
-- In return the bank will provide you a copy of this challan along with a Journal number & stamp on it.

Please re-check the acknowledged challan received from the bank before leaving the bank. Please ensure journal number is clearly mentioned on the challan.

You need to wait for 48 Hrs for your payment data to get updated in the system once you paid cash in Bank.

After 48 hours from making the cash payment in bank, you will receive an e-mail and SMS confirming that your payment data has got updated in the registration portal. Then you need to re login as existing user to the portal and proceed to complete the remaining part of registration process Please remember you will not be allowed to move further in the registration process until you make payment and get the confirmation of cash payment

-- After completing the CMAT 2016 registration form, it is suggested that you once again check the complete data entered by clicking on view/modify button. Clicking on this button will allow you to modify your data in case you want to modify on CMAT 2016 registration form.

-- Once you are sure that all the data entered is accurate, click on Proceed button. There you will have to confirm by ticking a check box that "I have checked all the entries filled in by me and found them correct" and click on SUBMIT. After SUBMIT, you need to accept a declaration and click on I Agree. The system will re-confirm to you for SUBMIT. Once you confirm, your form will get finally SUBMITTED and no change in the data is possible after this SUBMIT

-- You will see a message on your screen stating “Thank you for successfully registering for the AICTE CMAT January 2016 exam.” Here you can click on PREVIEW button to view your filled form. If you wish, you can PRINT your filled form and keep a copy with you for reference

Generate Challan by December 10
Please note that you should generate the challan by December 10, 2015, the last date of registration. Beyond the last date you will not be allowed to generate the challan copy. It means you must fill in the details in the registration form by December 10.

Once your challan is generated on December 10, you will be able to pay cash from 11th December 2015 onwards. After depositing the cash towards the registration fee with bank charges in the bank on December 11, you are supposed to complete and submit the registration form online by 13th December 2015. Submission of final application after payment will not be possible after 13th December, 2015.

Commencing with CMAT 2016, AICTE will now conduct only one CMAT exam instead of two which used to be held in the months of September and February every year. CMAT 2016 will be an online computer based test as it used to be in past years. With effect from CMAT 2016, the test window of this second largest management entrance exam after CAT will be of single day duration instead of earlier 4-5 days.
