CRISIL announces admissions for second batch of its Certified Analyst Programme

India's leading ratings, research and risk advisory company CRISIL has announced admissions for its second batch of two-year intensive course: CRISIL Certified Analyst Programme (CCAP).

According to CRISIL, CCAP is a unique programme to set new benchmark for finance education. The programme is aimed at developing world-class financial professionals for analyst positions in CRISIL. 

According to CRISIL, the first batch of CCAP was launched in March 2007 where 45 candidates were selected who joined the programme in June 2007. This year, CRISIL-CCAP intends to hire 75 candidates as 'interns' for the second batch of the programme. After the successful completion of the programme, the candidates will be awarded the Certified CRISIL Analyst certification.

 The programme will commence from June, 2008. CCAP combines coursework, job assignments and interactive seminars that equip the candidates with financial and business skills. The programme will be led by the faculty drawn from the top business schools along with senior CRISIL professionals and industry experts.  

To apply for this programme, a candidate should be graduated with at least 50% marks and also appeared for CAT 2006 or XAT 2007 or must be appearing for CAT 2007 or XAT 2008. In case the candidate has not appeared for any of these exams, they can appear for the CRISIL Aptitude Test, to be held on March 9, 2008. Candidates can apply for the programme till February 29, 2008.  

CRISIL will decide the section wise and total cut-off marks, which will be used in short listing candidates for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and GD & PI rounds. 

The programme offers a good opportunity for graduates who are strong on numerical skills, and would like to make a career in financial analysis area.
