SPJIMR, Mumbai has extended the application process for PGDM 2016-18 for another 2 days. Now the registration and online application to SPJIMR will close on December 9 instead of December 7, 2015.
S P Jain Institute of management & Research (SPJIMR) is one of the top ranked B-schools in India and admission seekers to SPJIMR will be shortlisted for final admission round on the basis of their profile and anyone of the 3 management entrance tests namely CAT 2015; XAT 2016 and GMAT (test taken from January 2013 onwards to 15th December 2015). Candidates will have the opportunity to opt for two specializations at the time of application.

The major reason for extension in application deadlines according to SPJIMR is the last minute rush seen for applications to the 2 yr PGDM programme (2016-18) and requests received from the student community. The deadline for completing the application process has been extended to 9th December 2015, 23:59 hours. The application forms are to be filled online only and can be accessed from the SPJIMR admissions portal. Although SPJIMR has made all efforts for smooth handling of a large number of forms being received, applicants are advised to fill and complete the forms at the earliest opportunity.

SPJIMR’s PGDM is a two-year full time residential programme that is equivalent to an MBA and is noted for building value-based and socially sensitive leaders. The programme has had a consistent record of superior placements. The PGDM programme is accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) of UK.

In its latest issue (October 5, 2015), the Outlook magazine ranked SPJIMR as the 6th best B-School in India. Business World magazine ranked SPJIMR as the 3rd best business school, while The Hindu Business Line-MBAUniverse.com have ranked SPJIMR as the 7th best in 2015. SPJIMR’s PGDM has an annual intake of 240 seats for Indian nationals and an additional 36 seats for foreign nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).

SPJIMR has maintained 40% ratio of Girl students in admissions on merits only. There is no extra weightage or reservation for girl candidates and all of them are offered admission only on merit grounds.

CAT , XAT, GMAT scores accepted
SPJIMR will accept CAT 2015, XAT 2016 and GMAT (test taken between January 2013 to December 30, 2015) scores. SPJIMR aspirants should report these scores online as and when they become available.

Fresh Graduates can apply
To be eligible to apply for the PGDM programme, aspirants must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3) from a recognised university. Students in the final year of graduation can also apply.

Work experience is not mandatory for the PGDM programme. Fresh graduates and those with up to five years of work experience can apply.

Candidates who have already appeared in CAT 2015 held on November 29, 2015 can apply to SPJIMR. XAT 2016 will be conducted on January 3, 2016 in 47 cities across the country in a single session.

Registration for XAT 2016 is open till December 10, 2015. Candidates going to appear in XAT 2016, apart from registering for the exam have to apply to SPJIMR also. XAT 2016 will be a paper pencil mode test of 210 minutes (3½ hours) duration.

Online application process
Aspirants seeking admission to PGDM 2016-18 at SPJIMR, must complete and submit the application form online before December 9, 2015.Application fee is Rs. 1200/- (Rs One thousand two hundred only). The fee can be paid through credit card or net banking

Choice of 2 specializations at application stage
Applicants to PGDM admission 2016-18 batch at SPJIMR have the choice of opting for two choices of specialisation out of the 4 offered at SPJIMR’s PGDM programmes at the application stage.

Selecting 2 options at this stage means that the aspirants who are not short listed for the first option will be considered for the second option. The outcome of the first option will have no bearing on the process for considering the applicant for the second option.

The programme offers 4 specializations – Finance, Information Management, Marketing, Operations. A choice of specialization at the application stage at SPJIMR helps to achieve segmentation at the time of admission based on differentiated need of recruiting organizations. Participants also develop a clear and sharp focus based on their academic background and skills.

Academic profile & Work Experience: Important selection criterion
Apart from high overall as well as sectional percentiles, candidates with excellent academic profile and work experience will stand fair chances of admission at SPJIMR.

The selection process for admission to PGDM 2016-18 batch will assess not only the intellectual readiness in terms of academics but also emotional readiness, work experience, extracurricular activities and aptitude for and befitting the institute’s mission of value based leadership.

Intake at SPJIMR
The flagship PGDM programme 2016-18 at SPJIMR will have an intake of 240 students for Indian Nationals. An additional 36 seats will be available for PIO/OCI and Foreign Nationals. Hence the total intake for session 2016-18 will be 276 seats

Course Fee
The 2 year fee of the flagship PGDM 2016-18 programme is Rs.14.50 lakhs. The fee can be revised in accordance with the policy of the B-school.

Shortlisted candidates will have to attend 2 rounds of interviews which are held on the same day, at any one of the following locations chosen by them: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata or New Delhi in January or February 2016.
