Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida organised its 5th Jaipuria Annual Management Conference (JAMC-2015) on the theme “Entrepreneurship Rising: Inspire, Innovate, Ignite” at Noida. Along with the conference, The Start Up Fair and the Business Plan Quiz were also organised which saw participation from various Business Schools and budding start ups from Delhi-NCR.

Mr. Arvind Thakur, CEO & JMD- NIIT Technologies Ltd. was the Chief Guest in the inaugural and Ms. Neeru Sharma, Co-founder & Director- Infibeam.com graced the occasion as Guest of Honour while Mr. Pranay Gupta, Co-founder – 91springboard was the special guest.

The Vice Chairman, Jaipuria Institute of Management Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria and Director, Jaipuria Noida Dr. Rajiv R. Thakur were also among other dignitaries present in the flagship event along with a gamut of learned speakers from the Entrepreneur & E-commerce industry and academia who graced the occasion.

The inaugural session of the conference began with the auspicious lamp lighting by the guests. After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Director Dr. Rajiv R. Thakur introduced the theme of the conference. Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria in his welcome address emphasised upon the significance of “Entrepreneurship Rising: Inspire, Innovate, Ignite”.

Sharing the concept of high 5 the Chief Guest, Mr. Arvind Thakur, emphasized to ‘Think ‘customer’, challenge the status quo, unleash the new ideas, gain experience and take ownership’. In his speech he also shared his entrepreneurial journey and his insight into what makes an entrepreneur.

Ms. Neeru Sharma, Co-founder, Infibeam.com came up with all the more interesting face of entrepreneurship with her life story of the making of Infibeam. Ms.Neeru said that the first and foremost thing is to know how can your ideas be impactful to your business and the necessities are being passionate and diligence.

Mr. Pranay Gupta, Co-founder 91 Springboard, Management Advisor drew upon the characteristics of an able entrepreneur and said that ‘It is action that wins the recognition.’ And the only mantra for entrepreneurial success is ‘believe’!

Besides  the  inaugural  session,  the  day-long  conference  featured  galaxy  of  speakers  who deliberated on the comprehensive sub themes of the conference; Digital Marketing Strategy for Entrepreneurs and Start-Ups, E-commerce: Emerging Avenues for Entrepreneurship in India and Youth Entrepreneurship: Prospects and Challenges through  panel  discussions.

The conference was attended by leaders and academia across India including top entrepreneurship educators & policy makers, practicing mentors, incubator heads, entrepreneurs, officials from the Ministry of Skills Development, Entrepreneurship, MSME (Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises), budding entrepreneurs and Directors & Deans from institutes in order to engage them in a dialogue on entrepreneurship development. Through the conference, an official mandate for entrepreneurship development through higher education will be created and endorsed.

The primary objective of the conference was to foster, promote and support innovators and leaders with entrepreneurial talent and endorsement to budding entrepreneurs. It will provide a platform to open a dialogue among the global leaders of academia to mainstream entrepreneurship education by providing training and support to entrepreneurship educators and to demonstrate effective global models of entrepreneurship development, the challenges faced and the outcomes.
