TAPMI Manipal has extended the admission application date to January 27, 2016 for its 2-year fully residential PGDM 2016-18 Programs
Candidates who have registered and appeared both for CAT 2015 and XAT 2016 can apply with the registration number of both the exams, TAPMI will use better of the two scores

Good news pouring in post CAT 2015 result with more admission options will bring smile to overall CAT percentilers without worrying for high sectional percentiles.

Acceding to the requests/enquiries from all those candidates waiting for CAT 2015 and XAT 2016 result declaration, T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) Manipal has extended the last date of PGDM 2016-18 admission application process from January 7 to January 27, 2016. Now the candidates can register and apply to this highly ranked B-school till January 27, 2016. The registration and application process is online for admission in TAPMI

Since CAT 2016 result which was supposed to be declared by January 7, 2016 was declared on January 8, 2016 and the XAT 2016 result is proposed to be declared on January 25, 2016, TAPMI has also accordingly extended the application date as requested by the candidates.

TAPMI has also changed the schedule to conduct WAT & PIs at the 10 centres and would now conduct the same between February 20 and March 06, 2016.

TAPMI offers PGDM, PGDM-Health Care Management (HCM) and PGDM-Banking and Financial Services (BKFS).

Application form available online/offline; submit only on-line
Aspirants desirous of seeking admission at TAPMI will be able to obtain admission prospectus online or off-line, but submission will be completely online only.

Application fee
TAPMI has allowed to apply for multiple programmes by submission of single application form. The application fee is as under

For General candidates:
Rs. 1500 for 1 programme
Rs. 2500 for 2 programmes
Rs. 3500 for 3 programmes

For NRI candidates:
Rs. 3100 or USD 50 for 1 programme
Rs. 4500 or USD 75 for 2 programmes
Rs. 6000 or USD 100 for 3 programmes

How to apply
All applicants have to submit the Application Forms Online only.  Payments can also be made by means of Demand Draft on any bank or pay online with debit/credit card/Net-banking.

While making payment through Demand Draft, please obtain DD favouring “T. A. Pai Management Institute”, payable at Manipal or Udupi. List of Banks operating in Manipal/Udupi are given in the Prospectus of Admissions. After entering the DD details in the online application form, send the DD to TAPMI Admissions office through Registered post / Courier.

Eligibility to apply
To be eligible, an applicant has to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Students in the final year of graduation can also apply. TAPMI will accept CAT 2015, XAT 2016 and GMAT 2014 & 2015 scores as well.

Healthcare Management Program will be limited to candidates with medical and para-medical qualifications with bachelor degree with 50% marks. Similarly, in respect of BKFS Program, preference will be given to candidates with background of Commerce / Economics (Graduate / Post Graduate), CA, ICWA or CS.

Following PGDM programmes will be offered at TAPMI for PGDM batch 2016-18. All the programmes are AICTE approved. However, the filling up of these seats will be subject to availability of suitable candidates who will undergo the rigorous selection process.

PGDM specialization
TAPMI Manipal doesn’t propose to introduce any new full time programme in 2016. Specialisation of courses in Finance/Marketing/HR/IT/ Operations will be announced to the students at the end of 1st year.

Acceptable exam Scores
Applicants are required to take at least one of the 3 following Admission Tests for admission in PGDM and PGDM-BKFS at TAPMI

CAT 2015: Conducted by IIMs on November 29, 2015
XAT 2016: Conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on January 3, 2016
GMAT (2 years): Conducted by GMAC in 2014 and 2015.

Apart from the above test scores, candidates seeking admission in PGDM (Health Care Management) can also submit their MAT (Sept & Dec 2015) scores of AIMA.

Shortlisting criteria at TAPMI
PGDM and PGDM-BKFS candidates will have to possess good percentile scores in CAT-2015, XAT-2016 and GMAT (two years) while HCM candidates may also submit their MAT (Sep & Dec 2015) scores of AIMA to get shortlisted for final admission round at TAPMI.

TAPMI follows profile based shortlisting of candidates for all its 3 programs. While there is no special treatment for gender diversity, aspects like Academics, Work-Experience, will have due weightages in final selection, besides performance at WAT and Personal Interviews.

WAT & PI round
For Admissions 2016, TAPMI would hold WAT-PI at different centers across the country namely Ahmedabad/ Bangalore/ Chennai/ Cochin/ Hyderabad/ Jaipur/ Kolkata/ Manipal/ Mumbai and New Delhi from February 20 to March 6, 2016.

WAT and Personal Interview will be given separate weightage in PI round for admission 2016 at TAPMI.

Course Fee
PGDM and PGDM (BKFS) Programmes
The academic fee for 2 years payable by students admitted for the PGDM 2016-18 Programme is Rs. 14 lakhs including Hostel fees and excluding monthly food bill approx. Rs.3500/- . The course fee for PGDM-BKFS 2016-18 is Rs.15 lakhs.

PGDM - Healthcare Management
The course fee for 2 years payable by students admitted for the PGDM - Healthcare Programme is Rs. 9.5 lakhs including Hostel fees and excluding monthly food bill approx. Rs.3500/- . Above fee structure is subject to change.
