Spanish B-school IESE to conduct 'Inside India' programme for global executives

India's growing consumer market and economy has been attracting the attention of global B-schools and executives for some time now.

IESE Business School, a leading Spanish B-school, in partnership with the Indian School of Business (ISB) will be organising for the 3rd consecutive year, a five day India study programme for an international group of executives.  

Inside India programme will provide a close-up view of doing business in the country by covering critical topics such as off shoring, investment opportunities, consumer behaviour, and the social and political environment. The programme is part of executive education courses offered by IESE.  

Top executives from different countries, representing diverse industries will be flying to India for the programme tour that will start on ISB Hyderabad campus on February 4. After spending three days at ISB, the programme will end in Mumbai on February 7 – 8, 2008. 

Led by IESE faculty, the one-week programme includes academic sessions, case studies, presentations by eminent local speakers and company visits. Some of the topics included in the programme include: 'Insights into the Political, Economic and Social Environment'; 'India in the Future Global Economy' and 'The Evolving Indian Consumer'. 

According to IESE, the programme will include visits to some leading companies including Infosys Technologies, Cadbury's and TATA Consulting Services.  

Rama Velamuri, academic director of the programme says, "We are delighted with the response from both applicants and faculty, with the help of the Indian School of Business. We look forward to leveraging the vast experience and knowledge of all those involved and helping the international participants to get an overview of how to get their businesses inside India."  

As part of the programme, on February 7 in Mumbai, Pawan Agarwal, CEO of Nutan Tiffin Box Suppliers Charity Trust- better known as the Mumbai Dabbawallas, will be addressing the topic of: "Business model innovation: a case study of the amazing Nutan Tiffin Box Supply Charity Trust."
