Team MBAUniverse.com has gathered all the relevant information and compiled to respond to CMAT 2016 result related queries of the aspirants to enable them to choose the right B school after declaration of CMAT 2016 result.

The fate of thousands of MBA aspirants who appeared in CMAT 2016 conducted by AICTE for admission 2016 in MBA/PGDM programmes across India on January 17, 2016, is to be decided today on January 21, 2016. Many AICTE approved B schools have either kept their applications dates open or have extended the same for want of declaration of CMAT 2016 result.

Declaration of CMAT 2016 Result be on time
Query hovering the minds of CMAT 2016 takers is whether AICTE would be able to announce the CMAT 2016 result today on time given the fact that it failed to enable Admit Card on time. Candidates are worried that in case of delay they might lose the admission opportunity in preferred B school.

According to AICTE the CMAT 2016 result is expected to be declared on January 21, 2016, the fastest so far since the exam was held 5 days back on January 17, 2016. If AICTE can declare the CMAT 2016 result today, it will be a great achievement for the test convener.

However, going by the past trend AICTE declares the CMAT result on the pre announced date and we may expect the same trend to continue for CMAT 2016 also.

Validity of CMAT 2016 score
Candidates have been raising query whether the CMAT 2016 score remain valid for admission in 2017 also.

The answer is No. CMAT 2016 is no more a twice a year exercise which could be the first or second CMAT in one year. In its revamped form CMAT from 2016 has become a yearly test for  admission to 2016. For admission 2017 the score of CMAT 2017 will apply. Therefore the CMAT 2016 score will be valid for the admission for the academic year 2016-17 only and cannot be carried forward to academic session 2017-18.

How to get the CMAT result
Where shall we get the result from? Will the hard copy of result be sent to the aspirant’s address- are some of the queries raised by the CMAT 2016 takers.

AICTE has clarified that the CMAT 2016 result can be viewed and downloaded from AICTE site. Candidates can view, download and take out the print of the said downloaded result. However, no hardcopy of the result is proposed to be provided AICTE.

Type of scores in CMAT 2016 result
AICTE proposes to provide CMAT result with raw scores as well as with percentile scores. Since 2015 AICTE has not only provided the raw scores, National & State level ranking but also the percentile based scores.

CMAT 2016 had 100 questions with a maximum score of 400. The result will provide number of marks scored out of the maximum marks, National ranks and percentile scores.

However, AICTE doesn’t propose to use sectional cut off based scores in CMAT 2016 result. Only in case of clash in ranking the sectional scores will be used.
