Opportunity to apply for admission to flagship PGDM 2016-18 programme at IMT Ghaziabad is available for 2 more days only to XAT 2016 scorers while for CAT 2015 takers its stands closed. The shortlisting process is in progress and the next stage of admission round CnPI will begin on February 6, 2016 at IMT Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad campuses followed by other cities.
IMT would be closing the admission application process at closing hours on February 4, 2016 and soon after it, the B-school will announce the shortlist of candidates for next stage of admission round. The Admission application process for CAT 2015 takers was already closed on January 25, 2016.
IMT started registrations for admission to these programmes on Sep 1, 2015. There is Common Application form devised by IMT to apply to all the campuses. The application process was closed on November 26, 2015 earlier. However, since number of aspirants could not apply for admission to the 4 campuses of IMT and missed the last date the application was reopened and was closed again on January 25, 2016 for the candidates who applied only with CAT 2015 scores.
Since XAT 2016 result was declared on January 26, 2016 after close of application process at IMT, the B-school opened the again the application process but this time for the candidates applying with XAT 2016 scores. The Application form is available online on IMT website.
Eligibility Criteria
For admission in PGDM program, the applicants must have a minimum three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in any discipline or CGPA of at least on 3.0-4.0 scale in any discipline (for IMT Dubai).
Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply. For PGDM (Executive) program, the candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks and a minimum three-year work experience after graduation as of 30th June 2016.
In the reopened application process, IMT Ghaziabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT (test taken between 1st January 2012 – 31 March 2016) while IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT 2016 scores. If the candidate is applying only with CAT 2015 scores and without XAT 2016 scores, IMT Ghaziabad may not accept the application.
To register for admission process, the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, etc. and registration ID for XAT 2016. The candidate may provide registration number for CAT 2015 alongwith XAT 2016 but only CAT 2015 score is not acceptable as of now.
All the candidates are required to update their GMAT/ CMAT Test score, on or before 15 April 2016. Additionally, in case of CAT and XAT, all applicants are required to fill the registration number of the test score that he/she is willing to submit. For candidates who are applying on the basis of GMAT/CMAT and their score is not updated, processing of application will be provisional.
Application Fee
Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs. 2000/- using Credit/Debit card/ Net Banking. Applicants are required to fill only single application form. Based on the same they would be further shortlisted for the process.
To submit the application, the applicants can also make payment through Demand Draft. After the successful completion of the payment process applicants will receive a confirmation via email within the next 24 hours.
English Proficiency Test
For IMT, Dubai, the applicants whose native language is not English are required to take an English Proficiency Test. The minimum score, which is required for admission is 6.0 for IELTS, 550 for paper-based TOEFL while 79 for internet-based TOEFL test. All the scores are valid for a period of 2 years only.
Short listing Criteria
IMT will short-list the candidates for interview based on their best available test scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT for IMT Ghaziabad campus and CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score for Nagpur and Hyderabad campus.
CnPI begins Feb 6
Post short-listing on the basis of available scores, the shortlisted candidates will be called in for a Communication and Personal Interview (CnPI) round. The candidates will face a written communication test (WCT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI).After the CnPI process, IMT will take the final decision on admission by taking into account the candidate’s academic record, entrance test scores, work experience and performance in the CnPI round.
The Communication and Personal Interview Process (CnPI) will be conducted at one of the centres selected by the candidates in Communication& Personal Interview Schedule Form available on IMT's Admissions Portal at following venues and dates:
IMT Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad Campus on February 6, 2016; in Mumbai on Feb 9; in Bangalore on Feb 13 and in Kolkata on Feb 15, 2016.
