Students of PGDM 2015-17 batch at International Management Institute, New Delhi have all the reasons to celebrate as they have started getting recruitment offers from the companies in the very first year of their 2 year programme. This is the great achievement for IMI Delhi as none of the B-schools have been able to get its students placed one year in advance. Many very good B-schools have not been able even to complete their placement for 2014-16 class, whereas IMI Delhi students have started a new chapter in placement by grabbing placement offers one year before the actual placement process begins in early 2017.
So far the MBA/PGDM students of the top rated B-schools could get the Pre placement offers after completion of their summer placement in the final year of the study. But IMI has broken this record and number of its students who got admission to this highly ranked B-school in 2015 have received the pre-placement offers from the top recruiters to join their companies in 2017. IMI Delhi has further strengthened its strong academics and corporate relations by getting its students placed one and half year before the completion of their PGDM programme which will be over in 2017.
Sharing the grand achievement, Prof Manaswini Acharya, Dean, Placement & Corporate Relations at IMI Delhi said “It gives me immense pleasure to announce that we have started having placement offers a year in advance , for the 2015-2017 batch ( 1st Year , 3rd term). Axis Bank's SPOT contest was organised on the 9th of February, 2016. We shared the entries with them, and we have received the results of the contest today, and as a reward of which 4 of our students have received a pre-placement interview offer from Axis Bank.”
Not only this IMI expects to receive more PPOs in coming future. Prof Acharya adds further “We would like to " congratulate ", our students , for the same . We are proud of our students for this achievementx . I am sure that you are all aware that we have completed our summers 100% for all programs. And thus I am confident that we will have pouring PPO's this year.”
IMI Delhi has also shared the names of the 4 students who have got placement offers for 2017. They are Tanvi Aggarwal, Ankur Kalra, Pulkit Khera and Mitul Takiar.
Placement 2016 already over at IMI
IMI Delhi has a consistently maintained excellent placement record. The B-school has completed its final placement 2016 in a record time and probably earlier than many other top rated B-schools.
96 companies participated in the Final Placements at IMI New Delhi to recruit from a batch of 243 students comprising 181 in the PGDM program, 45 in PGDM-HR program and 17 in the PGDM-BFS program.
IMI Delhi has recorded highest placement compensation for the PGDM 2014-16 batch of Rs.29 lakhs and average compensation of Rs. 14.3 lakhs showing an upward swing in the MBA market.
