KPPGCA, the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association has announced the KMAT 2016 registration and exam dates. In fact the schedule announced for KMAT 2016 indicates that it is the last MBA entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes commencing 2016 in more than 170 renowned high RoI B-schools in Bangalore and the rest of Karnataka State.

Gateway to MBA 2016-18 & MCA
KMAT 2016 scores will be accepted by the institutes offering MBA as well MCA programmes in 2016 in Bangalore and rest of Karnataka State.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2016 is convened by KPPGCA. The association of Private post graduate colleges in Karnataka was established in 2003 to provide proactive support to professional education and facilitate and streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz., MBA, PGDM and MCA. There are 170+ member B-schools of KPPGCA located across Karnataka and are affiliated to respective universities in the State. All these highly ranked institutes with moderate fee structure will offer admission to their flagship programmes on the basis of KMAT 2016 scores.

Registration starts April 5: Will close on May 10, 2016
KPPGCA has announced the start of registration and application process for KMAT 2016 with effect from Tuesday, April 5, 2016. The registration process will be available both in the online as well as offline mode.
The registration for KMAT 2016 is proposed to be closed on May 10, 2016 both for Online and offline mode. It implies that for the offline registration and application submission, the filled in downloaded application form with Demand Draft for requisite application fee should reach the designated KMAT 2016 office by 5 PM on May 10, 2016 by registered or speed post.

Registration/Application fee
The registration and application fee taken together for KMAT 2016 is Rs.700/-, as announced by KPPGCA. According to KPPGCA, the application fee for KMAT 2016 is Rs.700/- which can be paid online through Net banking/debit card etc.

If the candidate chooses to opt for Offline mode of payment of registration/application fee of Rs 700/-, he/she can send the completed and downloaded application form along with demand draft (DD) for Rs.700/- prepared in favour or ‘KMAT 2016’ to the designated office of KMAT 2016 so as to reach them latest by May 10, 2016.

Since KMAT 2016 exam convening authority would not be responsible for any postal delays, candidates are advised to send their applications completed in all respects along with the DD for application fee for Rs.700/- well in time to avoid any postal delays.

MBA aspirants across the country can apply
KPPGCA has clarified that the exam is open for all the candidates across the country. Unlike MAHCET 2016 where 65% to 85% seats in the B-schools are reserved for Maharashtra State candidates, the KPPGCA has kept the admission process open for all the candidates from all over India. Irrespective of their domicile state, the candidates will be considered for admission to MBA/MCA 2016 in 170 plus Bangalore and rest of Karnataka state institutes.

Exam on Sunday, May 29 across the country
KMAT 2016 being administered since 2003 is standardized all India level management entrance test that be held on May 29, 2016 in more than 10 test cities all across the country and is open to candidates from all parts of India and Abroad. A choice of test cities will be available while completing the registration form.

The test will facilitate Business Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programs.

Exam structure
KMAT 2016 is a paper pencil based conventional exam consisting of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) divided in 4 sections. The test will be of 2 hours duration from 10AM to 12Noon. The reporting time will be 1 hour before the exam. The test is expected to be of moderate difficulty level and may have difficulty level much lower than CAT or XAT.

Last Opportunity to pursue MBA 2016-18: Save 1 year
KMAT 2016 is the last opportunity for the bachelor degree holders from all over India to try their luck to get admission in MBA 2016 at a good B-school in Bangalore and rest of Karnataka. While the scores of all other MBA/PGDM entrance exams to be conducted after KMAT 2016 will be accepted for admission 2017, the scores of KMAT 2016 offer the opportunity to get admission in MBA 2016-18 programme. Thus you can save 1 year and will be able to complete your MBA in 2018 instead of completing it in the year 2019.

Number of confirmed institutes accepting KMAT 2016 has also increased to more than 170. Many of them are high RoI institutes of Bangalore and Karnataka.
