Dr Sahasrabudhes address and presence at IMC 2016 will provide opportunity for B school Directors and management educators to know about his views on management education

The stage is all set for the 2016 edition of India’s biggest management education conference – Indian Management Conclave. 7th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2016 will be held on August 5-6 at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), country’s premier management institution. Conclave will be addressed by Policy makers, CXOs from corporate India, Directors and finest minds from Indian and global management education. Dr A Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE, the regulatory body for Technical Education in India, will be addressing IMC 2016 on August 6, and will share his vision for the management education sector.

 

Dr  A Sahasrabudhe  joined All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as Chairman in July 2015. Dr Sahasrabudhe is a career academician with an illustrious career of 29 years and has held several important Academic, Research and Administrative positions. He started his career as Scientific Officer, at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1983 and moved to Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) as Engineer in the same year. He was Director, College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) since 2006 on deputation from IIT, Guwahati prior to joining as AICTE Chairman.

 

Dr Sahasrabudhe’s address and presence at IMC 2016 will provide opportunity for B-school Directors and management educators to know about his views on management education. As reported earlier by MBAUniverse.com, speaking at BIMTECH commencement on June 19, 2016, AICTE Chairman praised B-schools for being ahead of the curve in adopting new teaching-learning systems.

 

Dr Sahasrabudhe joins a very eminent group of speakers from India and Abroad who will be addressing IMC 2016 on August 5-6.

 

 Dr David Schmittlein, Dean, MIT Sloan School of Management, one of the Top 10 B-schools in the World, will be delivering the Keynote Address from the MIT campus in US. Dr Jitendra V. Singh, Former Dean for HKUST Business School, Asia’s No 1 B-school, and Nanyang Business School Singapore will be visiting India to address IMC 2016. He is currently the Chair Professor and Senior Adviser to the President of HKUST, Hong Kong. Dr Ashish Nanda, Director, IIM Ahmedabad will be delivering Keynote at the Inaugural session of IMC 2016.

 

India’s Top management thinkers and academic leaders including Dr Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University; Dr M R Rao, Dean Emeritus, ISB and Former Director, IIMB; Dr Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore; Dr Ranjan Banerjee, Dean, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) Mumbai; Dr H Chaturvedi, Alt President EPSI and Director, BIMTECH; Dr CP Shrimali, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon; Dr Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur and Dr Arvind Sahay, Dean, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad will be addressing IMC 2016 on August 5-6. In addition to two days of thought-provoking discussions on conference theme, IMC 2016 will also host two prestigious awards: IMC Awards for Excellence in Management Education and IMC Distinguished Alumni Awards.

 

IMC Awards are India’s most prestigious awards for Excellence in Management Education. The core objective is to identify, document & recognize the Best-practices by B-schools & Universities. One of the highlights of IMC conclave will be Academic Leadership Workshop by IIMA on Case Method. IIM Ahmedabad is well known for propagating Case Method of Teaching, and for developing the most insightful Cases. Dr Vijaya Sherry Chand, Professor, Ravi J. Matthai Centre for Educational Innovation, IIMA and Dr M. R. Dixit, Professor, IIMA shall deliver IMC Faculty Workshop on Case Method of Teaching.
