AIMA has opened the registration and application process for MAT 2016 September exam today on July 1 in on line as well as offline mode
The registration application fee for MAT 2016 September exam is Rs 1200/- which can be paid by any one of the 3 modes.

AIMA has opened the registration and application process for MAT 2016 September exam today on July 1. The registration process is available both in online of offline mode. Candidates can register by either applying online or by obtaining OMR Registration Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from the office of AIMA, New Delhi.

The registration and application process for national level MAT 2016 September exam for admission to MBA/PGDM 2017-19 programme will close on August 23, 2016 as the last date to submit the filled in application forms.

MAT 2016 in paper pencil mode will be held on Sunday September 4 while the computer based MAT will be conducted from Saturday September 10 onwards.

MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). Usually there are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December.  MAT scores are considered for admission by number of management institutes offering PGDM programmes which are equivalent to MBA.

A good number of B-schools in Delhi NCR and other parts of India have decided to accept MAT 2016 September exam scores for admission to their PGDM/MBA programmes.

Candidates exploring admission in MBA/PGDM can encash the opportunity to do MBA by registering and applying for MAT 2016 September exam.

Last date to obtain and submit the form
The Last date of sale of forms for MAT 2016 September test is August 20, 2016. Candidates can buy the forms from the designated AIMA Nodal centres across India. Candidates have the option of online registration also. However the last date for the on line registration as well as for buying the application form is August 20, 2016. The MAT 2016 September exam registration application complete in all respect should be received at AIMA New Delhi latest by August 23, 2016.

The registration application fee for MAT 2016 September exam is Rs 1200/- which can be paid by any one of the 3 modes.

Option-1: Online
You may register online at AIMA website link for MAT 2016 September exam and can pay through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking

Option-2: By Demand draft
Candidates can obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Then they can register online at AIMA website. You should fill up the registration form alongwith the DD details.

Option-3: Offline: Pay cash
Candidates can obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed Nodal Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.

Facility of choosing 5 top B schools
MAT 2016 September registration and application process has provided the facility of filling up 5 free choices of Management Institutes in order of preference in the application form.

Choose PBT or CBT exam
AIMA provides two options to appear in MAT 2016 September exam. Candidates can appear either in paper-pencil mode examination or in online computer based test. However no candidate can exercise both the options.

Admit card for MAT Sep 2016
All the registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based MAT 2016 September Test can download their Admit Card from AIMA website from August 27, 2016 onwards.  Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. No separate Admit Card will be issued and sent to a candidate.

Test Dates
Test dates for Paper pencil mode and for Computer based test in September MAT 2016 would be different. Candidates can opt for either of the two.

MAT in Paper pencil mode will be conducted on Sunday September 4, 2016 with duration of 150 minutes from 10 AM to 12.30 PM.

The Computer Based online MAT 201 September exam will be conducted from September 10, 2016 onwards. The test will be held in different time slots subject to availability.

63 test cities
Out of 63 test cities in India and abroad, September MAT 2016 in computer based test form will be conducted only at 12 centres. Rest of the test centres will have the facility of paper pen based test. The venues for paper pencil mode test and computer based tests will be different from one another.

Exam Pattern
MAT 2016 September exam will be an objective type test with multiple-choice Questions (MCQs). The test will be divided among 5 key sections on which questions will be formed. The 5 test sections in September MAT 2016 will be Language Comprehension, Mathematical skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment.

Each of the 5 sections will have 40 questions making it a total of 200 questions to be solved in 150 minutes.

Apart from other All India MBA/PGDM entrance exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT, MAT is also a standardised test. The exam is being administered since 1988 to facilitate B-Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a National Level test in 2003. Any B-School-national or international can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.

More than 300 institutes across India accept MAT scores. On February 18, 2013 Hon’ble Supreme Court of India allowed the petition to continue MAT as an entrance test to PGDM institutes.
