IIFT exam notification for admission to its flagship MBA (IB) 2017-19 programme is expected to be released on July 15, 2016. The registration process will also begin on the same day with the release of IIFT exam notification. For the last few years Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has been releasing its MBA (IB) entrance exam notification on July 15 in leading news papers and on its site simultaneously. Accordingly only 2 days are left to opening of registration for IIFT entrance exam.

IIFT proposes to conduct the entrance exam for MBA (IB) 2017-19 admission on November 27, 2016 from 10AM to 12 Noon. The registration process for IIFT entrance exam which is also proposed to start from July 15, will close in the 1st week of September, 2016, probably on September 3.

According to IIFT  ‘Release of advertisement/Availability of Brochure and application form on IIFT’s website will be from second week of July’  and the ‘Written examination will be held on 4th Sunday of November from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon’.

IIFT will be conducting its National Level Admission Test for MBA (IB) batch 2017-19 for its Delhi and Kolkata campuses. The admission test is proposed to be conducted in paper pencil mode in 20 cities across the country.

Eligibility criteria for admission to MBA (IB)
-- Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.

-- Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by beginning of October of the year of start of the course.

-- No age limit to appear in IIFT entrance exam.

Application fee 
The application fee for IIFT entrance exam is Rs.1550/- for general category candidates. It is under revision and may increase a little with the release of notification.

According to IIFT  ‘The cost of Prospectus and Application Form is one-time payment of Rs.1,550 which includes application screening and Entrance Test Fee and the candidates are not required to pay any other fee while sending back the filled-in Application Form to IIFT”. The application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates  is Rs.775.

Application process
IIFT will offer the facility to apply both online as well as off line.  However the last date of submission of completed application forms in either mode will remain the same in the 1st week of September, 2016. Any candidate who is a graduate and can produce the proof of his qualification before October 2017 is eligible to appear.

On-line registration & Application process
Online registration for IIFT entrance exam will open along with the release of notification. For IIFT 2016 registration, candidates are required to visit IIFT website and register themselves with their mail id. The online form for IIFT 2016 registration will be available thereat. The form is to be filled in as per the given instructions.

The print-out of the Form has to be taken out and the candidates are required to attach their photograph and sign the form as instructed. The print out along with the necessary enclosures has to be sent to IIFT so as to reach there on or before the last date.

Off line application submission
IIFT 2016 registration can also be done in off-line mode. The application fee will remain the same Rs.1550/- (Under revision). The candidates can also buy the Prospectus in cash or through demand draft. They need to complete the enclosed Application Form and send the same in the envelope provided for the purpose to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi-110016 so as to reach IIFT on or before the last date.

It is advisable to retain a photocopy of the completed application form and demand draft for future reference.

IIFT exam structure
IIFT MBA (IB) admission 2017 entrance test will be a paper pencil mode, multiple choice objective type written test (in English) consisting of questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.

Test will be 2 hours duration from 10 AM to 12 noon.

IIFT Entrance exam centres
The test will be held across the country at 20 test centres namely, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

IIFT was awarded the status of Deemed University in May 2002 and accredited in May 2005 as FAG grade institution by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). IIFT has maintained its place among top 10 business schools in India in various surveys.
