MAT 2016 September exam has only one separate component which CAT 2016 does not have – and that is Indian and Global Environment (GK) with 40 MCQ type of questions. Given the fact that MAT has lower difficulty level than CAT, if you are preparing for CAT 2016, you will find yourself very well prepared for MAT 2016 September exam. The stand alone GK section can be prepared by daily reading of current affairs and any good book on General Awareness.

It is advisable to apply for forthcoming MAT 2016 September exam as it will not only boost your confidence level but will also help you to go through a good exam the pattern of which is more or less on CAT 2016 and IIFT 2016 exam structure. It will offer you a good opportunity to have a hands-on practice of MBA entrance exam 2016 in real testing conditions. 

Hardly 2 months are left for MAT 2016 September exam in paper-pencil mode and as computer based test. The paper based MAT 2016 is on Sunday September 4 while the computer based MAT will be conducted from Saturday September 10 onwards for admission to MBA 2017-19 batch in more than 150 B-schools across the country.

MAT questions have different LoD
September MAT 2016 might have a different difficulty level going by the trends in the current exams, it will be better to practice MAT sample questions from various sections as they will equip you better for the exam.

The 40 questions in GK section would not count for calculation of percentile in MAT 2016 September exam and the total score will be calculated on the basis of other 4 sections. Still GK section is an integral part of the test and one has to score well in it as the marks will be considered at the final admission round in the B school.

Sale of Application forms to close on Aug 20
Registration and application process for MAT 2016 September exam is open and will close on August 23, 2016. The Last date of sale of forms for MAT 2016 September test is August 20, 2016. Candidates can buy the forms from the designated AIMA Nodal centres across India. Candidates have the option of online registration also. However the last date for the on line registration as well as for buying the application form is August 20, 2016. The MAT 2016 September exam registration application complete in all respect should be received at AIMA New Delhi latest by August 23, 2016.

MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). Usually there are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December.  MAT scores are considered for admission by number of management institutes offering PGDM programmes which are equivalent to MBA.

A good number of B-schools in Delhi NCR and other parts of India have decided to accept MAT 2016 September exam scores for admission to their PGDM/MBA programmes.
