CAT 2016 registration mistakes can be corrected this year even after making payment of application fee and after submission of registration form. This option of mistake correction will be available on the CAT Application form Webpage from October 1 to 5, 2016. According to Prof Rajendra K Bandi, CAT 2016 convener and faculty at IIM Bangalore, “Candidates will have an option to correct details like Percentage of Marks scored, Work Experience, and Programmes Selected. No other details can be edited.”

Deviating from earlier practices in CAT registration process when no such edit facility of correcting the mistakes was allowed after submitting the registration form and candidates had to either re-register after making payment of registration fee again, IIM Bangalore has allowed the CAT 2016 aspirants to edit the mistakes discovered after submission of the CAT application.

In the history of CAT since it was computerized in 2009, this is the first time that IIMs have offered this aspirant friendly facility.
