Great Lakes Institute of Management has announced the commencement of admission process for its flagship one year full time PGPM 2017-18 at its Chennai and Gurgaon campuses. The academic session is proposed to begin in April/May 2017.

There will be two cycles of admission. Students need to have at least 2 years of work experience by March 31, 2017 for applying and should have valid GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply online on the institute’s website.

PGPM 2017-18: Flagship 1 year programme
PGPM is the Great Lakes' full-time one-year fast-track residential Post Graduate Program in Management for candidates with at least 24 months of work experience. PGPM offers specializations in Finance, Marketing, IT and Economics, operations, OB and Strategy, Business Analytics.

The one year programme format is designed in consonance with the current trends in Europe and other parts of the world. According to Great Lakes Management Institute, “One-year programs are more rigorous than two year programs. In terms of the number of classroom hours, there won't be a significant difference between a two year course and a one year course.”

Generally, there are no holidays between terms. Working executives would rather be away from work just for a year instead of 2 years. Also the one-year program enables students to start working a year earlier.

PGPM: Programme with high placement record
PGPM at Great Lakes has witnessed consistently rising placements. Leading recruiters like Accenture, Aditya Birla, Amazon, Cognizant, Deloitte, Dell, DCM Shriram, E&Y, Genpact, HCL, HSBC Technologies, Infosys, L&T,  TCS, Wipro among others made offers in placement 2016.

Average CTC offered stood at INR 12.11 lakhs with an e-commerce multinational making an offer with Highest CTC of INR 31 lakhs. 350 students out of the batch of 399 took up offers on campus, 1 student opted out of placement process and 48 who were on sabbaticals chose to go back to their parent organizations.

Eligibility for PGPM 2017-18

-- All applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT before applying.

-- CAT scores of the year 2015 and 2016, XAT scores of the year 2016 and 2017 or GMAT scores taken in and after Jan-2014 or CMAT scores of the year 2016/2017 will be considered for PGPM 2017 admissions intake.

-- Applicants should have bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute.

-- PGPM applicants should have minimum full time work experience of 2 years by 31st March, 2017

-- Candidates found not fulfilling this criteria will not be admitted to PGPM 2017-18 batch at Great Lakes.

PGPM 2017-18 admission process is divided in 2 cycles as follows

-- Cycle 1 Application Submission Date: November 30, 2016

-- Cycle 2 Application Submission Date: January 24, 2017
