SPJIMR Mumbai has announced online application process for admission to PGDM 2017-19 batch to begin on October 1, 2016. S P Jain Institute of management & Research (SPJIMR) Mumbai will accept CAT 2016, XAT 2017 and GMAT scores (test taken between January 1, 2014 onwards and December 31, 2016). Applicants have the opportunity to opt for two specializations at the time of application.The last date to apply at SPJIMR is December 13, 2016.

Who can apply? Eligibility criteria
Announcing the eligibility criteria to apply, SPJIMR clarifies, ‘Applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA awarded in any discipline from a recognized university. Students in the final year of graduation can also apply. SPJIMR accepts CAT, XAT or GMAT. Work experience is not mandatory for this programme. Fresh graduates and those with up to 5 years of work experience can apply.’

How to apply
Applicants seeking admission to PGDM 2017-19 at SPJIMR, must complete and submit the application form online when the admission process opens on October 1, 2016.

Application fee is Rs. 1200/- (Rs One thousand two hundred only). The fee can be paid through credit card or net banking.

Acceptable Exam scores for admission
SPJIMR Mumbai will accept CAT 2016, XAT 2017 and GMAT (test taken between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2016) scores to shortlist the candidates for final admission round. Applicants who explore admission opportunity to PGDM 2017-19 batch in SPJIMR on the basis of CAT 2016 or XAT 2017 need to score minimum 85 overall and 75 sectional percentile in either of the 2 exams.

The qualifying scores based on GMAT are 75 each in Verbal & Quantitative and 6 score in Integrated Reasoning. Overall qualifying percentile is 85 for GMAT scores.

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016, gateway to PGDM programmes to premier B schools like IIMs, SPJIMR, FMS, MDI is scheduled to be held on December 4, 2016 across 138 test cities in India.  CAT 2016 applicants apart from registering and appearing in CAT 2016 have to apply to SPJIMR to seek admission to PGDM 2017-19 batch.

XAT 2017 will be conducted on January 8, 2017 in 47 cities across the country in a single session. XAT 2017 will be a paper pencil mode test of 210 minutes (3½ hours) duration. Registration for XAT 2017 will remain open till November 30, 2016 without late fee and till December 11, 2016 with late fee.

Total Intake
The flagship PGDM 2017-19 batch at SPJIMR will have an intake of 240 students for Indian Nationals. An additional 36 seats will be available for PIO/OCI and Foreign Nationals. Hence the total intake for session 2017-19 will be 276 seats.

PGDM Fee structure
The two year fee of the PGDM batch 2016-18 programme was Rs.14.60 lakhs. The fee will be subject to revision in accordance with the policy of the B-school. This fee includes tuition fee, basic hostel/ accommodation and global fast track. It does not include cost of travel, boarding, lodging, visa, insurance and incidentals for global fast track and placement fees.

Selection Process
The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their profiles. They are also expected to meet the qualifying scores in at least one of the entrance exams. The profiles are scored and the applicants are sorted into two groups: Profile based and Profile-cum-score based.
