There was no such earlier announcement but it came suddenly on October 8 stating ‘Due to planned upgrade activity, applications will not be available from: 08:30 PM IST on 9th-October-2016 up to 10:00 AM IST on 10th-October-2016.’

No reply from CAT 2016 convener
MBAUniverse.com contacted CAT 2016 convener Prof Rajendra K Bandi, faculty at IIM Bangalore, to know about the key reasons necessitating suspension of the website and whether it would have any adverse implications on the submitted data by CAT 2016 aspirants. However, CAT 2016 convener has not yet responded on our query.

No well advanced announcement
The surprise came not as a planned activity as there was no such prior announcement by IIM Bangalore. Since October 9 was Sunday, candidates who planned to visit the CAT 2016 website to know about various items of information and proposed to connect to CAT Centre 2016 in regard to their submitted application form and to move in accordance with the guidance, could not proceed with the plan. The website is operational now and the candidates should cross check all the application details submitted by them.
