MICA hosted Mr Abhijit Bhaduri, Chief Learning Officer of Wipro, as part of the student run MICA Leadership Series. Mr. Bhaduri delivered a talk on the concept of ‘Digital Tsunami’, and the way it will disrupt the employer-employee relation in the future.

Talking about the fundamental shift that this generation is experiencing from the analog to the digital, he indicated the way in which the traditional norms are going to rapidly change, and the way the new challenges of the digital era are going to redefine the career and opportunities markets. Citing the example of Google, a search engine, which is challenging the automobile and car manufacturing industry with its concept of driverless cars, Mr. Bhaduri stressed the way in which competition is changing.

Addressing the students of MICA, he said “This is the age where the curious ones will strive. You need to be unfazed and daring enough to explore and learn new things. Follow the T-model where you are strengthen your core skills but at the same time try and acquire more diverse skills because you are now living in a boundary-less world where the scopes of careers are constantly being challenged.”

Mr. Bhaduri ended his insightful session by stressing on the importance of being adaptable and flexible in this dynamic digital age and sustain the advantage of having a collaborative way of working.
