MAH-CET 2017 exam dates have been announced by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. MAH-CET 2017 will be held on 2 consecutive days on March 4 & 5, 2017 for admission to MBA/MMS/PGDM 2017-19 batch in JBIMS Mumbai, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya and more than 400 other top B-schools. The registration dates to apply for MAH-CET 2017 are yet to be announced.

Announcing the tentative dates for MAH-CET 2017 exam vide its notification no. State Cet Cell/Tech Edu.CET 2017/627 dated November 21, 2016, Mr. Chandrashekhar V.Oak, IAS , Commissioner, State CET Cell, Mumbai of Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai has clarified “Following is the tentative schedule of the Common Entrance Tests (CETs) to be conducted by State CET Cell, Mumbai for the admissions to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate professional degree courses under Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Aspiring candidates may note that this is the tentative schedule and State CET Cell reserves every right to change the schedule under unavoidable circumstances. Detail and final schedule of each CET will be published from time to time with its activities schedule in selected newspapers and on the website www.mahacet.org and http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.”

Last year, the MAH-CET exam was conducted on March 12 and 13, 2016. The registration and application process for MAH-CET 2016 was opened on February 12 and was closed on February 23, 2016 at 5 PM. The result for the exam was declared on March 25, 2016 four days ahead of the scheduled date of March 29.

Registration for MAH-CET 2017 is expected to open in the month of January 2017.

Based on the last year MAH-CET exam registration fee, the proposed registration and application fee for MAH-CET 2017 is to remain as under-

For Open category
MAHCET 2017 application fee for open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign Nationals / PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates is expected to remain Rs.1000/- (Rs. One thousand only)

For Reserved category
Application fee for candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and & Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State who are applying to MAH-CET 2017, is expected to remain Rs.800/- (Rs. Eight hundred only)

MAH-CET 2017: A leading exam
Number of good B schools offer admission to the candidates based on MAH-CET scores. Around 45000 seats in various management courses in top B-schools like JBIMS Mumbai, K J Somaiya, DSIMS, SIMSREE, N L Dalmiya, PUMBA among others across Maharashtra will be filled up on the basis of MAH-CET 2017 scores. Candidates can explore better admission opportunity on the basis of MAHCET scores. Around 50 thousand candidates are expected to apply and appear in MAH-CET 2017.

In 2012 there were only 34 thousand seats for various MBA/MMS/PGDM programmes in Maharashtra, this number has now increased to 45000.

MAH-CET 2017: Exam components
200 questions in MAH CET 2017 are proposed to be divided in following sections namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (English Language test); Quantitative Aptitude; Logical and Abstract Ability. All the questions would be of MCQ type. Test takers may toggle between the sections without sectional time constraints.
