A record 82928 candidates have registered to take NMAT by GMAC registering 17% growth in its test registration from last year
With 39% women and 46% non-engineers in the registration pool, NMAT by GMAC continues to be the most diverse management education test in India

A record 82928 candidates have registered to take NMAT by GMAC registering 17% growth in its test registration from last year’s registrations. Announcing the growth today The Graduate Management Admission Council, owner and administrator of the NMAT by GMAC exam, has shared “With the retake, total registrations closed at 82,928 in 2016 compared to 70,950 last year.”

Unique candidate friendly features were introduced in the registration process this year for NMAT by GMAC exam which focused candidate convenience. Features like single sign-on, inclusion of 12 mobile wallet options for easy payment along with addition of 5 new test centers and 3 top quality institutions (Xavier University, Bhubaneswar; MISB Bocconi and Shiv Nadar University) in the NMAT by GMAC accepting institutions have significantly contributed to the overall growth trajectory of the NMAT by GMAC exam in India.

Aspirant friendly features added to growth
Commenting on the increase in number of registrations, Mr. Vikram Shah, Director - Product Management, GMAC said, “GMAC’s focus is to provide the tools and information necessary for schools and talent (candidates) to discover and evaluate each other. Preparation material for the exam

5 new testing centres opened
In order to become more accessible to the MBA aspirants and building on its promise to deliver the best to its test takers, NMAT by GMAC recently opened five new testing centers in Pune, Gurgaon, Jamshedpur, Baroda and Manipal respectively making it to 32 centers in 24 locations in India.

GMAC acquired ownership of the exam from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in March 2015 and had rebranded it as NMAT by GMAC. Conducted by GMAC, the NMAT by GMAC™ exam is accepted by 19 leading institutions in India namely SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Xavier University, ICFAI Business School (IBS), MISB Bocconi, Alliance University, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), VIT University, Thapar School of Management, BML Munjal University, Amity University, Woxsen School of Business Management, SRM University, Hyderabad Business School - GITAM University, Chitkara University, Institute of Management - JK University, Ansal University, Mody University, Shoolini University, Shiv Nadar University and Gitam School of International Business.
