Mr R Subramanian isn’t the typical Indian ‘businessman’. With a stellar academic track record at IIT and IIM, he looks cut out for a banking or an FMCG career. His demeanor too is unassuming – he’s not a glib-taking type who believes he’s born to sell. Yet, he is very successful entrepreneur having created one of the fastest growing businesses in the Indian retailing industry. This is a story that all future entrepreneurs should carefully read.
Mr R Subramanian, is an engineering graduate from IIT Chennai and completed his post graduation in Management from IIM Ahmedabad in 1989 where he was the batch topper and gold medallist. He worked briefly with the investment banking segment of Citibank and then with Enfield Motors.
