SNAP 2018: 5 Key Changes in Exam Pattern
Candidates appearing in SNAP 2018 exam will find fewer questions to attempt in each section including Non-MCQs and varying scoring pattern

After becoming an online Computer Based Test last year, Symbiosis International University (SIU) has overhauled the SNAP 2018 exam pattern and the sectional composition of SNAP exam. SNAP 2018 Exam will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM.

Announcing the opening of SNAP 2018 Registration process which will close on November 26, 2018, SIU has substantially changed the SNAP exam structure and has brought out many firsts in the history of SNAP exam, scores of which are accepted by the 15 leading Symbiosis Institutes in India for admission to their MBA programmes.

Candidates appearing in SNAP 2018 exam will find fewer questions to attempt in each section including Non-MCQs and varying scoring pattern. However, the maximum score even for fewer questions will remain the same at 150 marks.

5 Key Changes in SNAP 2018 Exam Pattern
During the last 3 years Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test Pattern has witnessed perceptible changes. In 2015, Number of questions in SNAP were reduced; in 2017 SNAP moved to become online computer based test from a paper based test. However, SNAP 2018 is now to witness the biggest overhaul in the exam pattern. Key Changes are:

Total Questions Reduced to 130
SNAP 2018 will have 130 questions instead of earlier 150 questions. However there is no change in the time duration of SNAP 2018 which remains of 2 hours.

20 Non-MCQs Introduced in SNAP 2018
Out of the 130 questions in SNAP 2018 exam, there will be 110 MCQs and 20 Non-MCQs equally divided in all the 4 sections. SNAP 2018 has termed them as Normal and Special Questions respectively.

While each MCQs type question will be followed by 4 answer options, the Non-MCQ type question will not have any answer option. The SNAP 2018 test taker will have to type in the correct answer in the given space on the computer screen.

For example, if the special question is – ‘Which is the highest denomination currency note demonetised on November 8, 2016’, the test taker will not find any answer option and will need to write the correct answer ‘Rs.1000’ in the given answer space on computer screen by using the virtual key board which is enabled while attempting the special questions (Non-MCQ type).
