The registrations for the MAT December 2009 have been closed. The MBA entrance exam is going to be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009 for those who are taking the paper pencil test and on Saturday, December 12, 2009 for computer-based test. According to Wing Commander Bejoy, Director, CMS, AIMA, there are about 90,000 registrations for the December slot of MAT exam.

Wing Cdr. Bejoy further added, “While in September, the number of MAT takers was around 30,000, this time it has increased to around 90,000. This is a big leap indeed.” He mentioned that since September is a mid session, the number of test takers is generally low.

When asked about the number of candidates for the computer and paper pencil based test, Wing Cdr. Bejoy said, “About 6,000 to 7,000 students have opted for the computer-based test. The rest have gone for the traditional paper pencil based test only.” Wing Cdr. Bejoy feels that the reason for this is that most of the test centers don’t provide the facility to take the computer-based test.

Some of the leading universities that will be accepting the MAT December 2009 scores are: Amity University, Noida and Jaipur; Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli; Christ University, Bangalore; Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Kolkata; KIIT University, Bhubaneswar and University of Kolkata.

Candidates have to download the Admit Cards from the AIMA website seven days prior to the paper pencil test which is on Sunday, December 6, 2009. The computer-based test will start from December 12 onwards.
