Which are the most desirable companies for MBAs? The 'MBAUniverse.com Career Aspirations of MBAs Survey '2010' brings to you the answers. The survey reveals which companies are the most preferred by the second year MBA students of India's top 25 B-schools for their final placements in the year 2010. The survey was conducted in partnership with Synovate a global market research company.

The survey results are an eye opener, indicating the much wider ambitions of the MBAs. The term 'recession' has been deleted from the dictionary of these MBAs. They are all high on aspirations and are on the look out for newer avenues where they can get the opportunity to showcase their skills.
 
Overall the international financial services firms and niche consulting firms continue to be most preferred by management grads and seem to have achieved pole position among the current batch of B-school students.
 
In the 'dream companies' wish list of the MBAs the following companies are part of the Top 10:
 
The Top 10 Most Admired Companies

1. McKinsey & Co

2. Hindustan Unilever

3. Tata Administrative Services

4. P&G

5. Boston Consulting Group

6. Goldman Sachs

7. HSBC

8. Mahindra & Mahindra

9. Accenture Business Consulting

10. CapGemini Consulting

It's quite visible from the list that the MNCs are the most desirable with 7 MNCs in the Top 10 list. HUL, Tata Administrative Services and Mahindra & Mahindra are the Indian favourites.
 
After the Top 10, the following are the companies that are also part of the favourite list. In this list also the MNCs are the most coveted. ACC and Bharti Airtel are in-demand:

The other favourites are: Cognizant Technology Solutions, Daimler, Deloitte Touche, Deutsche Bank, Freudenberg, GREENPEACE, Hewitt, IFCI, IMG, ITC, Johnson and Johnson, KPMG, Merrill Lynch, Nokia, Nomura, Ogilvy and Mather, PE Firms, Perfetti, Reckitt Benckiser, Tata Group, Tata Motors, TCS, Unilever, Standard Chartered.
 
The MBAUniverse.com Career Aspirations of MBAs Survey '2010 was conducted across top 25 leading MBA schools of India, which include IIM Calcutta; IIM Lucknow; IIM Indore; IIM Kozhikode; Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi; SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai; IIFT New Delhi; Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai; MDI Gurgaon; Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi; Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay and many others. 200 second year students from these schools participated in the survey.
