UBS Chandigarh alumnus awarded Padma Bhushan

The University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh in a recent announcement has expressed its happiness over the Padma Bhushan award given to its alumnus Mr. S. P. Oswal, Chairman and Managing Director, Vardhman Group of Industries on the eve of 61st Republic Day. Mr. Oswal had completed his Master of Commerce Programme from University Business School with gold medal in 1966.

Expressing his happiness Mr. Dinesh K. Gupta, Chairman, University Business School said, “It is a matter of great honor and pride, that one of our distinguished alumni has been  awarded the  Padma Bhushan. The entire UBS family is proud of him.”

Mr. Gupta further added, “The University Business School was formerly known as Department of Commerce and Business Management. The rechristening of the Department as University Business School in 1995 by the Panjab University, symbolizes the recognition of completeness and maturity of the Department as a center of management education in India.”
