IWSB Greater Noida organizes final round of business incubation event Srijan 2010

The Centre for Inspiring Entrepreneurial Leadership at Indus World School of Business (IWSB), Greater Noida organized the finals of its business incubation event Srijan 2010 on January 31. After a successful launch of Srijan in 2009, IWSB attempted a repeat performance of last year’s accomplishment in Srijan’10.

And this time it was bigger and better. The participating ideas on business incubation, brought in by teams from across the country, got all set to compete with other ideas in the serene setting of the Stellar Gymkhana Club in Greater Noida and to be screened by the acute eyes of a distinguished judging panel. The judging panel comprised of:

Prakash Bagri (Head-Marketing, Intel), Anuj Sinha (Advisor & Head-NCSTC, Govt. of India), Pradeep Gupta (Chairman, Cybermedia Group), Sunita Singh (Sr. Director, NEN), Rahul Nanda (COO, Webchutney), Kapil Arora (Partner, Universal Legal), Satya Narayanan (Chairman, Career Launcher), Gautam Puri (Vice-Chairman, Career Launcher), Deepak Bansal (CEO & Founder, Clearpath Technology).

All the participating teams were grilled against parameters like feasibility, sustainability, scalability and many more. Also the participating teams came in with a lot of homework, and were from across sectors like technology, environment, energy, business consultants, etc.

The teams that earned incubation for themselves are as follows:

Green-O-Bin: GreenOBin provides end-to-end solutions for paper waste management. It provides consultancy to reduce the waste as well as complete paper recycling solutions to help organization understand Product Stewardship.

Shiv Shakti: Lifesaving finger ring to be used by disabled and old people to protect them from dacoit/robbery.

6pi Consultants: Assists the corporate to reduce the learning curve for new hires and thereby maximise effectiveness and productivity of the workforce. Future planned developments include providing research and consulting services, courtesy the dynamic pool of resources at disposal and the acquired student base over the years.

Team Bharat: To stop the piracies of the software’s or any type of data stored in a CD.

Advait Solutions: Advait Energy is an ‘Affordable Clean Energy’ company that aims to provide clean energy solutions to customers at the bottom of the pyramid via a sustainable, for-profit approach.

Bio-Sol: Pomegranate production has been suffering due to the “oily spot disease”. The scientific community has failed to control the disease & recommended the government to stop fresh planting and go for a crop holiday for 10 years. After extensive research, this company has successfully developed a formulation to tackle this problem.
