The CAT 2009 Phase II and NMAT 2010 MBA entrance exams have recently got over. If you have registered for the MBA exams that are coming up it is time to change your gears to high speed for the ATMA 2010 and GREAT 2010 as only four days are left.
The two MBA entrance exams are being held on the same day, i.e. 14 February, but GREAT 2010 will be held in the morning session and ATMA 2010 will be held in the afternoon session.
While ATMA has been held since the last 10 years, GREAT 2010, the entrance exam for Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is being held for the first time this year. The ATMA test will be paper pencil, whereas GREAT will be a computer-based test.
To help you in your last leg preparations for these two upcoming MBA entrance exams we share with you some important tips.
ATMA 2010
The duration of the test is 180 minutes. The sections of the test are Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Analytical Reasoning Skills. ATMA 2009 had 170 questions. Last year, the paper was lengthy which gave the candidates a tough time attempting the paper. The overall difficulty level was moderate to difficult.
The ATMA candidates can presently download their Admit Cards from the ATMA website, which started on Monday, February 8, 2010. The exam will start from 1.30 pm.
There are 133 MBA institutes that will accept ATMA 2010 scores. Some of the prominent institutes are Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi; IMS Ghaziabad, Bengal Institute of Management Studies, Kolkata; Indian Institute of Management Training, Pune; Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai; Indian Business Academy, Bangalore; International School of Business and Research, Bangalore.
Some of the prominent MBA schools that have recently decided to accept the ATMA 2010 scores are: Amity Global Business School, Noida; Bangalore School of Business, Bangalore; Institute of Management and Development, New Delhi; Indore Management Institute and Research Center, Indore.
ATMA 2010 will be held in 32 test centers across India. The cities are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Noida, Goa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Sangli, and Trichy.
GREAT 2010
GREAT 2010 is the entrance exam for the MBA institute, Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) Chennai. According to GLIM test guidelines the pattern of GREAT 2010 is similar to CAT 2009.
Just like CAT 2009 the GREAT 2010 test will also be a computer-based test. The duration will be 150 minutes and it will have three sections. The sections are: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation.
To ensure that there is no clash with ATMA 2010 the GREAT 2010 test organizers have decided to hold GREAT 2010 in the morning session on the 14 February 2010 as ATMA is scheduled in the Afternoon session.
GREAT 2010 will be held in the 6 cities of Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Results
The results for ATMA 2010 will be declared on Monday, March 8, 2010.
GLIM, Chennai will announce the shortlisted candidates for GD & PI on Saturday, February 20, 2010. The GD & PI are likely to be held from February 20 to February 28.
