IIM-K hosts principals, educators to find ways to enrich India's K12 education system

With the objective of finding out how ‘International education with Indian values’ can be re-imported into the Indian K-

With the objective of finding out how ‘International education with Indian values’ can be re-imported into the Indian K-12 education system, IIM Kozhikode conducted the Leading Schools Workshop on 13-15 February at its scenic campus.

The MBA school hosted 35 participants that comprised Principals, Chairpersons, etc from the Global Indian International Schools located in Singapore, USA, Malaysia, UAE, Japan, Thailand, India.
 
Along with strategizing on leadership, the workshop ideated on nurturing global schools, discussed methods to develop a curriculum which creates an environment for “nurturing global citizens”, and the ways to create sustainable institutions of learning in a technology-driven knowledge age.
 
Addressing the participants Professor Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIMK said, "This is the first in series of several such initiatives from IIM-K's Leading Schools Programme. This initiative will create new milestones in K-12 education and this is possibly the first time that School Principals, IIM faculty and educators came together in a development programme focusing on a new strategic direction for K 12 education.”
