The Social Service Group (SSG) of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode is organizing a two day Management Development Program for NGOs and Social Entrepreneurs that started on 22 February and will end on 23 February. This program aims to introduce the latest management practices to the social entrepreneurs and NGOs for capacity building and streamlining their operations.
The Social Service Group (SSG), a student driven body works in various social initiatives in the health and education sector. “With our close interaction with various NGOs for more than a decade, we have realized that there is a need to introduce the concepts of modern management to the people who are associated with managing various NGOs across our country. In order to enhance their performance, we have come up with a Management Development Program for NGOs especially in the development sector” claims the spokesman for SSG.
The objective of the training program is to initiate and impart high quality training for NGOs and social entrepreneurs to enhance their managerial capabilities to meet the requirements of the sponsoring organization.
A variety of topics in various areas such as Finance & Accounting, Human Resource Management, Operations and Logistics, Information Systems and Marketing is being taught during the program. The program is handled by the esteemed faculty from IIMK including Dr. Debashis Chatterjee (Director, IIMK), Prof. K K Ramesh, Dr Sanal Kumar, Dr Anandakuttan B Unnithan , Dr K Unnikrishnan Nair, Dr. Rupesh Pati, Dr. T N Krishnan and few guest lecturers from the industry.
