IIM Ahmedabad has recently announced that it has shortlisted 562 general, 200 NC-OBC, 114 SC, 53 ST, and 31 DA candidates for the Personal Interview round (http://202.41.76.206/catShort10-11.pdf). There are a total of 417 seats in the PGP programme. There will be no GD at the MBA school.

Criteria for PI shortlisting
For shortlisting the candidates for the PI, IIM Ahmedabad had recently revised its criteria. The candidates in general category with overall percentile of 99 and above in CAT 2009 and 70 per cent marks in 10th and 12th standards have been considered for the interview round. There was one more condition: the candidates should also have 96 percentile or more in each section of CAT 2009 to be able to qualify for the interview call.

Earlier the MBA school had announced 70 per cent marks in 10th and 12th standard as a prerequisite to qualify for interview call, irrespective of the CAT-2009 score.

Final selection criteria
The IIMA website mentions that the final ranking and selection will be based on a diverse set of attributes and may include performance in CAT, performance in PI, academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience etc.
